• Lonelygirl15 is a internet serial supposedly run by a 16 year-old girl named Bree (YouTube username Lonelygirl15). Via "self-marketing" on YouTube and MySpace, "Bree" gained a massive online following before revealing the blog to be somewhat of a hoax in late 2006. Bree was, in fact, actress Jessica Rose playing out the ideas of creators Ramesh Flinders and Miles Beckett. Though the vlog's popularity dwindled in 2007, it still maintained a following until its last episode in August 2007, in which "Lonelygirl15" died.
