History and Notable Players
While the London team dates back to the 1950s, the franchise joined the Ontario Hockey Association in 1965 to play at the junior A level. They remained there, playing as the London Nationals, until 1968 when they became the London Knights. While they had a new name, the Knights stayed in the OHA until 1980, at which time the Knights and other major-junior members of the OHA separated to make up the Ontario Hockey League.http://www.hockeydb.com/stte/london-knights-6618.html

London Knights Teddy Bear Toss
In a yearly tradition frequently held at many minor-professional and junior hockey games, fans of the London Knights can be seen tossing teddy bears and other stuffed toys onto the ice at the John Labatt Centre after the first Knights goal. As shown from a game on December 4, 2009, against the Guelph Storm, the thousands, in this case 8,232, of stuffed animals are thrown for a good cause as after the game, they are donated to the Salvation Army.
