Lon Harris is the editorial director of Mahalo and the host of the web series This Week in YouTube. He also appeared on the Totally Sketch parody video The Boyfriend Experience, a takeoff of the trailer of Steven Soderbergh's The Girlfriend Experience.
Mahalo Daily
Harris started working at Mahalo.com as a "guide" in January of 2007, several months before the site launched to the public. He worked behind-the-scenes, writing sketches and helping out, on early Mahalo Daily episodes, when the show featured original host Veronica Belmont.
When Belmont left in June of 2008, Harris stepped in as host and helped to orchestrate the "Mahalo Vlog Idol" competition to find a new co-host. Leah D'Emilio was eventually selected as winner, and hosted with Harris until early 2009. Together, the two debuted the regular Mahalo Daily feature This Week in YouTube, which continues to air new episodes every Friday.
