Logan Tom

Logan Tom is a professional beach volleyball and Olympic indoor volleyball player. Tom represented the United States at the 2000, 2004 and 2008 Summer Olympics. At the 2008 Summer Olympics, Tom helped the U.S. team win a silver medal. When not playing volleyball, Tom also models.

Shortly before Tom and her team were set to play their first match at the 2008 Summer Olympics, their former teammate Elisabeth Bachman-McCutcheon and her family were attacked while visiting the Drum Tower in Beijing. Bachman-McCutcheon's father, Todd Bachman was stabbed to death by Tang Yongming, who leaped off the tower to his death following the attack. Approximately 7 hours after the incident, the women won their match against the Japanese team. Of the match, Tom said: "It was hard. You just can't forget something like that. You always have it in the back of your head."
