Lobster Roll

The lobster roll is a sandwich filled with the meat of a freshly-cooked lobster, mixed with mayonnaise and served on a toasted hot dog bun or sourdough roll. The lobster roll is an open-face sandwich.

Lobster rolls are a popular summertime meal throughout the Maritime provinces in Canada, such as Nova Scotia, where they are also served on a hamburger bun, or baguettes. Lobster rolls are often served with a side of potato chips and a dill pickle.
