Besides having the option to place all sorts of objects in a level in LittleBigPlanet, players also have multiple building materials to select from. These materials enable the player to further customize their level. Building materials include:
- Basic Wood

- Dark Matter: Anti-gravity material. Very handy for creating platforms that "float" in mid-air, or for hanging things from.

Online Resources

The developers of LittleBigPlanet have opened a new section of the official site, called the LittleBigWorkshop. This new section is designed to build and foster the community around the game. The site include forums, instructional elements for beginning level designers, places for user to upload and share their created content and the ability to create blueprints for level ideas, which can then be printed for reference while building a level in the game.
