The video game LittleBigPlanet for the PlayStation 3 was recalled on October 17, 2008, just four days before it was due to hit store shelves worldwide. Why the Controversy?
In the original complaint to Sony, a Muslim gamer states that "the mixing of music and words from the holy Qu'ran is deeply offending."Sony: European Community Boards Muslims consider the Quran the literal word of God, and abide by many rules in handling and reading from the book. Based on text from the Quran that says the book should only be handled by those who are clean and pure, many Muslims will undergo a ritual cleansing before picking up the book.
