LittleBigPlanet is a community-based video game originally developed exclusively for the PlayStation 3. A PSP version is being released in the fall of 2009.Joystiq: LittleBigPlanet gets littler on PSP this fall (February 24, 2009) LittleBigPlanet allows players to create objects in the game world using components of all different varieties, and share their creations with other gamers on the PlayStation Network.

Players control small gangly burlap sack characters referred to as "Sackboy" or "Sackgirl", each of which can jump, move, and grab objects. Their abilities are used to shape and develop the highly manipulable environment to build custom spaces either individually, collaboratively, or competitively. As you play through the game, you will unlock the full wardrobe of accessories for your character.The game also allows players to acquire new skills and tools. Navigate the world by jumping, pushing, grabbing, running and flying to overcome puzzles provided by the physics engine. The major focus is on global community features through the PlayStation Network, such as sharing custom "patches", levels and modifications, as well as online play. Teamwork is required to unlock much of the content. The scoring system is in the form of a time trial with a start and end gate, and players collection of various items.
