  • Little Walter was an influential a blues harmonica player as well as a guitarist and singer.
  • Career

    Little Walter arrived in Chicago in 1946 and began playing with fellow Chicago bluesman Muddy Waters in 1948.

    Walter is credited with making the harmonica a lead instrument. He achieved this by playing through a guitar amplifier which allowed him to compete with the other |amplified instruments in the band.
