Lisa Salters is a reporter and analyst who works for the sports network ESPN and ABC Sports. She currently covers several sports, including NCAA Football and NBA basketball. During televised games, she often conducts sideline interviews with players and coaches. In an interview, Salters expressed why she wanted to be a journalist, saying that she was inspired by a local newswoman when she was growing up. Despite working for ESPN now, Salters said that she never intended to cover sports. "I always thought only news reporters were true journalists...let's face it, (Bob) Woodward and (Carl) Bernstein weren't worried about the Super Bowl." Background and Personal Life

Lisa got started in professional journalism in Baltimore, Maryland, covering general news assignments as well as international events. After working there, she was hired by ABC to cover various news stories, including the Oklahoma City federal bombing trials and the 1998 Winter Olympics.
