  • Controversy

    In 1958, Wray released a controversial instrumental titled "Rumble". The song was unique at the time due to it's use of distortion and feedback. Authorities believed the song glorified juvenile delinquency and feared it would cause violent behavior. Subsequently, "Rumble" was banned from radio.
