Lindsay Roberts is an American author, host of Make Your Day Count and co-host of The Hour of Healing—Your Place for Miracles. She is married to Richard Roberts, the head of Oral Roberts Ministries, who inherited it from his father Oral Roberts. She has three children. Her daughter Jordan Roberts runs their overseas missions in a division called Hunger Needs A Voice. For those of you who do not get her 2 television shows in your viewing area, you can go to the official Oral Roberts website and view past episodes or live episodes. Her books are in the bookstore, and free online issues of her Miracles Magazine are also available on their official website (press menu first). http://www.oralroberts.com
Lindsay is a writer who speaks to not only Women's Health, Wellness, Stress free living and even has a Cookbook out that simplifies life with easy recipes, but also about Spiritual Well-being and the broader category of Spirituality and Religion. Before you wonder if Lindsay writes only academic books, let me assure you that Lindsay Roberts has a very clear, easy to follow and practical style of writing with ample use of humor, sharing of real life stories, and insights that everyone can understand from the clever examples chosen that you have never thought of before. Lindsay Roberts is a woman who writes not only for women, mothers, teachers, teenagers, but also for families, men, and every other possible combination of individual circumstance. Lindsay Roberts speaks to everybody! And before you decide that her religious writings and thinking then must be lightweight, consider that Lindsay attended law school - and watching any episode of her show where she has thoroughly researched her Bible theme in various translations only to make it understandable for everyone and you begin to wonder how she does it all. Lindsay also has that trendy and contemporary perspective of being able to imagine what she is saying visually, and to illustrate them with three-dimensional insights and demonstrations for today's visually-oriented, computer literate audience. And is that not what great writing and speaking are all about today?

30 years Lindsay has been married into a minstry family and not one video of her at work on her 2 television shows has been submitted by her. That is typically selfless Lindsay. Instead, this video tribute to Oral Roberts and family had to be substituted. It is created by a fan and is relevant to show how important family was and is to the close knit ministry family that has collectively probably saved more souls for the Lord than anyone else in our historical timeperiod.
Book Review: Miracles from A to Z .... and everything in between! By Richard & Lindsay Roberts
The concept of this book is a very simple one - and it is probably unique as well. Publish success stories for people who have received healing or miracles from prayer to God in their Oral Roberts Ministry television show "Hour of Healing". They say that the idea started from people wanting to know if their particular problem was solved for someone else to give them faith that their own problem could possibly be solved. There is more of a back story from the broadcasts of the show this past week, Lindsay said that the wife of Oral Roberts who originally started the ministry and was the father of her husband Richard Roberts - Evelyn Roberts - had told Lindsay that she should write a book on this topic. And so they did. This is an easy to read, encyclopedia style book of stories and testimonies arranged alphabetically with an index at the front starting from acid reflux disease, through fear, fibromyalgia, finances and foreclosure to marriage problems, migraine headaches and multiple sclerosis and ending the book with zero finances. What more could you want if you wanted to shop around first to see what kinds of problems their ministry heals before committing your seed faith dollars! An easy read that is also surprisingly interesting. The book is available from their Oral Roberts Ministries bookstore or you can check to see if the free offer for the book is still in effect. http://www.oralroberts.com
The Life of Lindsay Roberts
Her father-in-law Oral Roberts, the founder of Oral Roberts University passed away at 91 on December 15, 2009. He was also a much loved international evangelist and was especially close to Richard Roberts, her husband. http://www.kjrh.com/news/local/story/Lindsay-Roberts-speaks-about-death-of-Oral-Roberts/9w9QBM13-02dwQtZpm0Rqg.cspx Further information can be found on the pages Oral Roberts Dies and Oral Roberts Dead. The funeral of Oral Roberts was taped on a special commemorative DVD with a $20 or larger donation from Oral Roberts Ministries. In the audience could be seen a who's who of dignitaries in all religious fields from all countries as far away as Australia, such as Franklin Graham, the son of Billy Graham and Marilyn Hickey of Marilyn Hickey Ministries. There were also ordinary people who had been healed or touched by the founder of Oral Roberts Ministries in his lifetime of service to healing where he had said that he raised almost one billion dollars for charity in his lifetime.
Lindsay Roberts is a modest person. She is in charge of and edits the Oral Roberts Ministries magazine Miracles, http://www.oralroberts.com but she does not give her name on it. A special Oral Roberts memorial supplement came out with this issue of volume 3, issue 1, 2010 in February. The Special Miracles Supplement was "Celebrating the Life of Oral Roberts: A Man Who Obeyed God". This magazine is available free of charge with any ministry donation to Oral Roberts Ministries or achives back issues can be read free on their official websitehttp://www.oralroberts.com
Lindsay Roberts has written more books than most authors do in their lifetime (see list above), and yet she has also maintained careers as host and co-host of two television shows, and magazine editor as well as traveled extensively with her husband Richard Roberts on his overseas missions until it was time to bring up her children. Below is a book review of one of her books.
Book Review of "Dear God, I Love to Eat... But I Sure Do Hate to Cook!" Cookbook by Lindsay Roberts with Nootsie Stricklin
From the title you can obviously tell that Lindsay has a delightful sense of humor. This reminds me of Rachael Ray, who also makes jokes and delights her cooking and talk show audiences. This slick looking ring bound book for easy recipe opening contains 110 pages of simple, easy to make recipes one to a page. On the sidebar is one Bible verse about food, health or wisdom for living. There are also quick facts about food and nutrition. Rarely have I seen such a variety of very basic and easy to make recipes with few ingredients and steps. I would have to say that the recipes that are my favorite are the simple Dee's Lentil Soup, and Great Chicken Broth (pp.80-81). Lindsay demonstrates many of these recipes by herself or with guests such as her daughter Jordan Richards, the director of missions for Oral Roberts Missions. Recipes include family and friend favorites. This book can be purchased directly from Oral Roberts Ministries where their books and products help fund overseas and national healing and ministry work.
