  • Career

    Thompson started her career in 1968 as part of a duo with Paul McNeill. They recorded two singles. In 1972, she was part of a rock-and-roll band, the Bunch. Later that year she started working with Richard Thompson of Fairport Convention, who she'd met in 1969. They married in 1972 and performed together for ten years. In 1985, she signed with Warner Bros.
