Former Ramones manager Linda Stein was known as the "real estate agent to the stars." On October 30, 2007, she was found murdered in her Manhattan apartment. The medical examiner ruled the death as a homicide due to the blunt trauma found to the head and neck. Her personal assistant was charged with her murder.
Natavia Lowery
Stein's personal assistant, Natavia Lowery was arrested on November 9, 2007 in connection with the murder. During police questioning Lowery confessed to killing Stein after waiving her Miranda Rights. At a court hearing on December 13, 2007, Lowery's mother disrupted the proceedings by shouting at Stein's daughter, Mandy, saying "You know you did it".
Mystery DNA
In March of 2008, Lowery's defense attorney Ronald Kuby argued that there was DNA from an unidentified male found in the bathroom sink. He also presented the court with a medical examiners report stating that Stein spoke to her daughter Samantha Wells at 2:00pm. Lowery was is seen on surveillance tape leaving the building at 1:15 pm, suggesting Stein was still alive after her last contact with Lowery.
