Actress Linda Evans, began her life as Linda Evenstad, an only child, characterized as a shy girl, she was born November 18, 1942, in Hartford, Connecticut to parents who were both professional dancers of Norwegian descent. Evans attended Hollywood High School, and while attending a classmate’s audition for a Canada Dry commercial, she caught the eye of an ad agency director and ended up landing the part on the commercial. After a few more commercials, she broke into acting by landing a part on a television series called Bachelor Father in 1960, additional shows over the next years included; The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet 1960 – 1962, The Untouchables 1962, and The Lieutenant 1963. The first big break for Linda Evans came at the age of 23, when she got the part of Audra Barkley on the popular TV western series The Big Valley which ran on ABC Television from 1965 to 1969. The series proved to be popular with TV audiences and Linda Evans was soon recognized as a new star in Hollywood. Linda Evan’s next major role came when she was cast as Krystle Carrington on ABC Television’s primetime successful soap opera Dynasty, which ran from 1981 to 1989.
