Lima Vacation

Attractions

With monuments such as the Archbishop Palace, House of Aliaga, Basilica Cathedral and the Torre Tagle Palace, it's no wonder Lima was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988. Other attractions include the Magical Water Circuit, an amazing display of water fountains choreographed to music and lights.

Activities

Districts such as Santa María del Mar, Punta Hermosa, Punta Negra, San Bartolo and Pucusana have some of the popular beaches. Get there early though, they fill up fast! If you don't want to swim, try para-gliding off the cliff-tops of Lima or go cycling around town. Depending on the time of year you visit, festivals such as the Independence Day Festival, Peruvian Paso Horse Festival and the Saint Rose of Lima keep the streets alive with music, color, food and dance. Cuisine: Lima's food is often referred to as Peruvian Cuisine, which includes specialty dish Ceviche, chunks of raw fish, lime or lemon juice, onion, minced Peruvian ají limo, and the popular Andean Rocoto. Try other popular styles of food like Asian, Chinese and Japanese cuisines while you are visiting. Mahalo Suggests: While planning your trip, please see Lima Hotels, Lima Restaurants
