Lil Wayne is an American rapper, songwriter, and record producer. He was born Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr. on September 27, 1982, in New Orleans Louisiana. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1211443/bio He began rapping at a young age, and signed a major recording contract with Cash Money Records at the age of 12. He began his career as a member of the rap group, the Hot Boyz. Once the group disbanded, Wayne continued to record as a solo artist. He released his first solo album, The Block is Hot, in 1999. Over the span of his 10 year solo career, Lil Wayne, who also goes by the stage names Lil' Weezy, Weezy F. Baby, and Young Carter, has released a total of 7 studio albums and 11 mixtapes.
