Lil E. Tee

  • Lil E. Tee is an American-bred thoroughbred racehorse who won the Kentucky Derby in 1992 in one of the biggest upsets in the race's history. He was a stud at Old Frankfort Stud near Lexington, Kentucky before being euthanized on March 18, 2009, after failing to recover from an operation to repair an obstructed bowel.UPI: 1992 Derby winner Lil E.     Lil E. Tee started in the 10th position in the 1992 Kentucky Derby and was still in 10th place after half a mile. The favored racehorse, Arazi, made a bold move from the 17th position to find himself in third place. Lil E. Tee followed and as Arazi tired, caught up to front-runner Casual Lies and flew past to win $724,800 and the prestigious Kentucky Derby title.
