Lifehouse

Lifehouse is an American alternative rock band that gained commercial success in 2001 with the release of their single, "Hanging by a Moment."http://www.billboard.com/#/news/lifehouse-s-moment-comes-1314580.story The song is part of their debut album, No Name Face, released in October of 2000 and declared Billboard Music Award's Hot 100 Single of the Year. http://www.billboard.com/#/charts-decade-end/hot-100-songs?year=2009&begin=21&order=position The band released four additional albums between 2002 through 2010, all of which achieved placement in Billboard's Top 40 Hits chart.

The band, originally named Bliss, played regularly at the Malibu Vineyard Church in 1996. They changed their name to Lifehouse, in keeping with their plan to go mainstream. After the conclusion of their No Name Face tour, Lifehouse released their second album, Stanley Climbfall, in 2002. The second album did not achieve the same level of success as their first. Bryce Soderberg joined the group for their third album, Lifehouse, in 2005, as Sean Woolstenhulme left to pursue other career interests. Lifehouse released their fourth album, Who We Are, in 2007. The album's first single, "First Time", earned another Top 40 recognition.
