LibraryThing is a social networking site that provides a place to catalog personal book collections and interact with other members with similar interests. It is free to join and enter up to 200 books. The membership fee is $10 per year or $25 for a lifetime membership.
LibraryThing is currently working on a project called Open Shelves Classification, it is an open source, community driven replacement for the Dewey Decimal System.
