The Lexus RX is a series of mid size luxury SUV first introduced in 1997. It is currently in it's 2nd generation and shares many design features with the Toyota Harrier. It's most common version is the RX350 but there is also a hybrid version, the RX400h. Competitors include the BMW X5, Acura MDX and Mercedes-Benz M-Class.
Car and Driver Review
1. Highs include nice styling, good handling for an SUV and great fit and finish.
2. Lows include lack of a third row of seats and pricey options packages.
Consumer Guide Road Test
- Consumer guide rated the RX at a 79 out of 100 and consider it to be a best buy among mid-size premium SUVs. High marks were given for ride quality, detailing, cargo room and driver comfort. The RX's lowest scores were given for fuel economy and braking/steering. CG was also impressed with the hybrid version, they awarded it an 80.
