• Lexa Doig is a Canadian actress. She was born on June 8, 1973 in Toronto, Ontario. She is of Irish, Scottish and Filipino descent. At the age of nine, Doig was inspired to become an actress after watching a production of Porgy and Bess. She went on to play in a number of television shows and films. Doig married actor Michael Shanks in 2003. They have two children together, Mia Tabitha and Samuel David.

    Doig began her career with commercials and modeling. She landed a small role on Earth: Final Conflict. She later became famous for her role on the sci-fi series TekWar. In 1998, she played the role of Tina Backus on CI5: The New Professionals. From there, she went on to play in Andromeda, Jason X, Stargate SG-1, The 4400 and Eureka.
