• Lex Luthor is a fictional character from the DC Universe. He is the archenemy of Superman and one of the most popular villains in DC Comics. Lex Luthor possesses no superpowers, but is a multi-millionaire with his own multi-national company called LexCorp.

  Lex Luthor has gone through many changes and ret-cons (retroactive changes to the character's story or continuity), but one thing has remained constant: Luthor hates Superman. With a passion. Originally Luthor's hatred stemmed from an accident that made him lose his lustrous red hair, which he blamed on Superman. Later Luthor came to hate both what Superman symbolized and the actions he took to thwart Luthor's criminal dealings. Because of that, Luthor is one of the world's greatest collectors of Kryptonite, the radioactive green stone that debilitates The Man of Steel.
