  • The Investigation

The investigation was headed up by an FBI task force as part of Project Safe Childhoon, a nation-wide crackdown on child abuse and exploitation. Using a file sharing program, the investigators searched for a popular term that would find results related to illegal file sharing. Once they downloaded the illegal files, they traced the computer's IP address back to Chambers. After getting a search warrant from the county judge, they searched Chambers' residence and took him into custody.
