Johnston first made news during the 2008 Presidential Election after it was revealed that Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin's daughter, Brisol was pregnant. Tripp Johnston, Palin and Johnston's son, was born on December 28, 2008. Palin and Johnston split months later.
