Levi Brown

Professional football offensive tackle Levi Brown plays for the Arizona Cardinals in the National Football League. The Cardinals selected Brown in the first round with the fifth overall pick in the 2007 NFL draft. He has not missed a start at right tackle since the middle of his rookie season in 2007.

In 2010, Brown was projected to start at left tackle with the departure of Mike Gandy.

Brown played college football at Penn State University from 2002-06. He was originally recruited as a defensive lineman, but Brown became a two-time All-America selection after switching to offense during his redshirt freshman season. He missed two games as a senior because of a knee injury. He appeared in a career-high 869 plays as a junior, helping the Nittany Lions to lead the Big Ten in scoring at 35.2 points per game and rank second in rushing at 233.1 yards per game. He allowed only one quarterback sack and drew only two penalties on the season.

Brown was a stellar student at Penn State as well, earning his bachelor's degree in Labor and Industrial Relations in 3 1/2 years by graduating in December 2005. Brown earned his second degree, in psychology in December 2006.

Brown attended Granby High School in Norfolk, Virginia and was a standout two-way lineman. 2009 Season

Brown started all 16 regular-season games and two postseason games at right tackle for the Cardinals. 2008 Season

Started all 16 games as well as all four postseason games and was part of an offensive line that had the same five starters for all 20 games in helping the Cardinals reach the Super Bowl. 2007 Season

Brown started 11 of 13 regular-season games at right tackle -- he suffered an ankle injury in the third week of the season, causing him to miss three games. Arizona gained 161 rushing yards on 38 carries in his NFL debut at the San Francisco 49ers on September 10.
