Lethal Weapon 2 is the sequel to the 1987 film Lethal Weapon. The 1989 film was directed by Richard Donner and stars Mel Gibson as Martin Riggs and Danny Glover as Roger Murtaugh. In the film, the two cops are assigned to protect a federal witness named Leo Getz (Joe Pesci).
