  • Leslie Caron is an award-winning French actress and dancer. Caron began her career as a ballet dancer, but was discovered by Gene Kelly and cast in the classic musical film, An American in Paris in 1951. One of the most famous musical stars of the 1950s, Caron continues to act, appearing in the critically acclaimed film Chocolat (2000). Her guest appearance on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit earned a 2007 Emmy Award. In semi-retirement from films, she currently owns and operates a bed-and-breakfast, in Villeneuve-sur-Yonne, about 70 miles south of Paris.
