Early Career
Les Stroud began his career in the music industry in the 1980s as a video producer the for Canadian music channel MuchMusic.Discovery Channel: He's A Survivor. He's Les Stroud.Into the Wild
In 1987 he left his indoor job and became a wilderness instructor. He spent the next seven years exploring Canada. During this period he met his wife Susan Jamison. They spent an entire year living in the forest of northern Ontario with no matches and no tent.
