About Les Paul
Les Paul was born June 9, 1915 and lived until August 12, 2009. Les was a jazz and country guitarist, inventor and songwriter. He was the original developer of the solid-body electric guitar.
He was also a very talented player. He had a unique style of playing guitar that has since been emulated by many successful musicians. Les recorded a lot of records with his wife, Mary Ford, which went on to sell millions of copies.
Paul is one of few artists with a permanent exhibit in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He will forever be remembered as a talented guitarist and an innovator who changed rock and roll.
