In the 2009 season, Le’Ron McClain earned his second NFL Pro-Bowl appearance, totaling 180 yards in 46 carries (averaging of 3.9 yards per carry) with 2 TD’s. McClain saw action in every game, including 14 starts during the regular season. His 21 receptions for an additional 141 yards helped the Ravens record a total of 2,200 yards and 22 TD’s in 2009.
In Game 10 against the Indianapolis Colts, McClain carried the ball 3 times for 4 yards, and also blocked for Quarterback Joe Flacco, which allowed a 66% pass completion and a total of 256 yards in a losing effort against the Colts.
During the 2009 postseason, McClain posted 8 yards and 1 TD in the 33-14 Wild Card win against the New England Patriots. Overall, the Ravens rushed for a postseason franchise record 243 yards and 4 TD’s in this game.
