    Leonard DiCaprio was named Global Ambassador for Tag Heuer in early January 2009, taking the place of actor Brad Pitt, who was an ambassador for the company for six years. Tag Heuer's spokesperson made the following comment about DiCaprio, "Leonardo perfectly embodies this call-to-action with his exceptional talent, extraordinary mental strength and unfettered commitment to social and environmental issues." The actor will appear in ads for the company's Carrera Day-Date watch in the spring of 2009.
