"Hallelujah" is a song that was written by Canadian poet, novelist, and singer-songwriterLeonard Cohen. The original song contains 15 verses. The exact meaning of the songs lyrics have been debated by fans for years. Cohen uses Biblical metaphors and sexual references in the lyrics. Jeff Buckley recorded the most well known version of the song for his 1994 album Grace.
