20-year old Kansas State University junior and football team running back Leon Patton was charged with child abuse on September 18, 2008. Patton is suspected of intentionally shaking a 2-month-old baby boy on July 15. At the time of his arrest, Patton was on probation for previous charges of driving without a license, failure to appear and theft. He is being held on $30,000 bail and was dismissed from the Kansas State football team.
