Leodis McKelvin is forgoing his senior year with the Troy University Trojans Football squad to enter in the NFL Draft as a cornerback. He was drafted 11th overall in the 2008 NFL Draft.

Achievements
Attended Ware County High School in Waycross Georgia, where he was born and raised. During his senior year in high school he recorded 51 tackles, recovered three fumbles, intercepted six passes and broke up six passes. McKelvin decided on Troy University in Troy, Alabama. He played in all the games as a return man, his freshman year. McKelvin averaged 11.7 yards per punt return and 21.9 yards per kickoff return for his first college season. His next season started off better than previous with 619 yards on just 24 kickoff returns, he added 417 yards on 33 punt returns and was credited with 30 tackles on defense including 26 solo stops. In McKelvin's last year as cover corner, he recorded 66 tackles and 56 solo stops. He is considered the top corner and kick returners in the nation.Future
McKelvin is a very sturdy built player with speed and smooth transition. His young agile hips makes him a natural for the cornerback position. McKelvin should be able to go far in the NFL as he matures and with some guidance.
