He is best known for his podcast TWiT, which stands for This Week in Tech. He is also remembered for his tenure on Tech TV, the former name of the cable television network G4.   • Leo Laporte Biography

    After graduating from Yale University with a degree in Chinese History, Leo Laporte started one of the first Macintosh-only bulletin board systems, called MacQueue.

    Laporte went on to host various television and radio programs relating to technology, including 'The Personal Computer Show', 'The Site', 'The Screensavers', and 'The Lab with Leo'. He currently hosts a nationally syndicated live radio program called The Tech Guy, which airs on Saturdays and Sundays at 11:00 AM PST. [1] <ref>

    Laporte has been announced as the Macworld Live! onsite talkshow event during Macworld Expo 2010. Macworld Live! is scheduled for February 12 at 2 p.m. PST. Macworld Expo 2010 will be held at Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco, CA, from February 9-13, 2010. <ref> [2]

    He is the owner and major talent for TWiT.tv, a network of podcasts or "netcasts" (his preferred term). Among the shows he hosts or collaborates on regularly are: This Week in Tech, MacBreak Weekly, Daily GizWhiz, Radio Leo, Munchcast, This Week in Google and The Tech guy.

    Leo Laporte has written several books on technology, including guides to Safe Computing and using TiVo.
