Lemonade

Categories: Food | Beverages
  • Lemonade is a refreshing beverage made out of lemon juice, sugar, water, and usually served cold or over ice. It can be made by simply squeezing lemons and mixing their juice with sugar, but more often is made by making a simple syrup, which is made by heating sugar and water together to break down the sugar into a thick syrup, then mixing it with the juice and any other flavors. Lemonade can be dressed up with any number of added flavors, usually other fruit juices or fresh fruit. Limeade is a popular take on the drink, which substitutes lemon juice for that of limes.
