Common ingredients include chicken broth, eggs, lemon juice, orzo, and black pepper. The most common lemon soup is Avgolemono soup, which originated in Greece. More extravagant variations include asparagus lemon soup which uses a white wine and asparagus and artichoke lemon soup which includes artichokes, olive oil, and butter.
