  • How to Make Lemon Bars

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    2. Mix the butter, 1 1/2 cups of the flour and the powdered sugar in a large bowl.
    3. Press the mixture into the bottom of an ungreased 13" x 9" baking pan.
    4. Bake for 20 minutes.
    5. Using the smaller holes on a grater, grate the lemon rinds until two tablespoons of zest is produced.
    6. Slice the lemons in half and squeeze the halves to produce 1/3 cup lemon juice.
    7. Mix the eggs and sugar in a large bowl.
    8. Mix in lemon zest and lemon juice until well combined.
    9. Spread the lemon filling over the baked crust. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the filling is solid.
    10. Sift or sprinkle additional powdered sugar over the filling, if desired.
    11. Allow to cool completely. Cut into 24 squares, serve and enjoy!
