Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4 Walkthrough

Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4 was developed by Traveler's Tales, the maker of the LEGO parody video games. The game is based on the first four books and films of the Harry Potter series: The Sorcerer's Stone, The Chamber of Secrets, The Prisoner of Azkaban, and The Goblet of Fire. This is the biggest LEGO game yet, featuring a total of 167 unlockable characters as well as hours of hidden collectibles, bonus levels, two different hub worlds to explore, and more. This walkthrough covers the story mode and all the collectibles and unlockables in the game.

Year One: The Sorcerer's Stone

When players start a new file, they will begin by starting the story level "The Magic Begins". After beating it, you will end up in the Hogwarts hub level. Inside Hogwarts, always follow the ghost to your next objective, unless you wish to explore Hogwarts for unlockables.

At anytime in a story level, you can quit and exit back to Hogwarts. Inside Hogwarts itself, you can quit and exit back to The Leaky Cauldron super-hub level, where you can purchase the unlockables you found in the game, as well as replay the story levels in "Free Play" mode.

In Free Play mode, you can select whomever you've unlocked so far to play as then start the level, after which the game will automatically assign you extra unlocked characters that you can switch to at any time during the level by pressing LB or RB. The characters the game assigns will always be the ones you need to beat the level and (assuming you have them) the ones you need to find all the collectibles and unlockables.

Year Two: The Chamber of Secrets

More of the same here; in between levels you'll be able to learn more spells such as Immobulus, which will finally let you kill the blue Pixies, and the Polyjuice Potion, which will let you put ingredients inside the gold pots you've seen here and there to make a potion that lets you switch your character with any character you've unlocked and purchased at The Leaky Cauldron.

The Polyjuice Potion is especially useful as it is the only way to play as other characters in Hogwarts and The Leaky Cauldron hub worlds (the hubs otherwise do not have a Free Play mode). You cannot carry your changed forms into story levels though.

Year Three: The Prisioner of Azkabahn

This series of story levels will see you unlocking two major spells. One of them is "Riddikulus", which will let you destroy the rattling Boggart Trunks you see throughout Hogwarts and other story levels. The Boggart Trunks in Hogwarts are especially important as they drop keys that will let you unlock the green locks in Hogwarts, allowing you access to new areas such as the Clock Tower and the Owlery.

The other spell is "Expecto Patronum", aka Patronus. This spell is the only one that can kill the dangerous Dementor enemies (as well as defeat Boggarts). Harry will be the only one of the main three characters that can use it, in lieu of Riddikulus.

Also, soon enough into Year 3, Ron will lose the use of Scabbers, at least for Story Mode (Scabbers can still be used in Free Play). Replacing Scabbers is Hermione's cat, "Crookshanks", whom functions the same way except has the added advantage of being a "Digger" character, i.e. can interact with Dig Points.

Year Four: The Goblet of Fire

The last year will see you learning some important stuff. One is the Aging Potion, the last potion you can learn in the game, which will let anyone that does not have Aged status cross the Age Lines, some of which block access to a few sections of Hogwarts (though just using an Aged character also works).

But the real important ability to learn is Reducto, the most valuable spell in the game. This spell lets you destroy any object made of steel. It's the only way to reach some major areas of Hogwarts, and the only way to get your earliest Dark Mage characters from Free Play mode (most Dark Mage characters require that you use Dark Magic to get).

While not necessary towards beating the story mode, getting a Dark Mage character gives you access to Crucio, which is the only way to destroy any black or red colored object emitting red sparks. Crucio and Reducto are a huge part of finding all the unlockables in the game.

By the end of Year 4, you should have access to every room in Hogwarts, including any area that requires Crucio or Reducto to access, as well as Dumbledore's Office in the Great Stairwell, of which you can only enter after beating the game.

Year One - The Magic Begins

Walkthrough

  1. May as well play as Hagrid if you can as the magic-less Harry will be mostly useless for now. Run to the exit door and blow up the keg on the shiny floor.
  2. Have Harry stand on the shiny floor and then have Hagrid use Wingardium Leviosa to raise the floor up.
  3. Have Harry run up the stairs he's raised up to, grab the crank, attach it to the exit door, and levitate it to open the way out.
  4. Outside, use Wingardium Leviosa to levitate the blocks on the ground into the wall, making it move aside. You may now enter Diagon Alley itself.
  5. Run to the end of the alley to find a roadblock and a cauldron blocking your way. This will be the first of many times you will be searching for three ingredients to feed the cauldron (in this case, to blow it up and the roadblock with it).
  6. Start by grabbing the flowers off of the table nearby. Dump them into the cauldron. Note that it, like all ingredients, glow brightly and can be picked up and carried.
  7. Levitate the ice cream vendor's cart next to the cauldron and it will drop another ingredient. Dump it into the cauldron.
  8. Grab the red spider off the nearby web and dump it in as well. It will explode and take out the road block.
  9. Have Hagrid yank on the pull chain ahead; only characters with Superstrength can pull them. This will open the way into Gringotts.
  10. Inside Gringotts, you eventually want to walk up to the Interaction Point as Hagrid and press B. Griphook will join your group afterward; he can unlock safes and other locks. NOTE: If you are on Free Play, you will need to select him using the LB/RB buttons after recruiting him to make him appear.
  11. Have Griphook unlock the gate using the Interaction Point, then have Hagrid use the pull chain. Levitate the parts that fall out of the safe into a painting and use the Interaction Point that appears.
  12. Walk towards the cart you see inside the secret room that opens. You get a cutscene and then will end up at the vaults.
  13. Go left from where you start and have Hagrid use the pull chain to move the dragon, then have Griphook open the lock. Enter the vault to get a cutscene and then be sent outside.

Collectibles

  1. House Crest #1: Inside The Leaky Cauldron, use Wingardium Leviosa on the two candlewicks by the bar, then levitate the remains of the tables they blow up into portaits, then finally use the same spell on the nearby chairs to jump to the floating crest.
  2. House Crest #2: Simple; once you enter Diagon Alley, walk over to the Interaction Point with any character and press B to get the easiest crest in the game.
  3. House Crest #3: After blowing up the green cauldron, it leaves behind green goop on the ground outside Gringotts. Find a barrel and levitate it to make it dump LEGO parts. Levitate the parts to create some sort of broom-powered vehicle. Ride it over the green gunk to clean it up and receive a crest for your trouble.
  4. House Crest #4: Inside the lobby at Gringotts, use Reducto to blast the lock on the gate behind Griphook, then have Hagrid yank the pull chain beyond it.
  5. Gold Brick #1: Beat the level.
  6. Gold Brick #2: Get True Wizard at 22000 Studs
  7. Gold Brick #3: Find all four House Crests.
  8. Gold Brick #4: Rescue the Student in Peril.
  9. Student in Peril: In Diagon Alley, have one partner stand on the sparkling brown patio table closer on the right-hand side of the street from the entrance to The Leaky Cauldron, and have another use Wingardium Leviosa to raise the table up to the Student.
  10. Mr. Olliander: After Griphook opens the gate, go left and blast the steel lock on the chest there with Reducto, then shoot the chest.
  11. Tom the Innkeeper: After Griphook opens the gate, go right and blast the steel lock with Reducto on the chest next to the ride-able cart. Blast the chest open.
  12. Griphook: Right next to you when you enter the vaults; just shoot the steel lock off the chest using Reducto and shoot the chest open.

Hogwarts Studies: Part One

Wingardum Leviosa

  1. You start with Ron and Harry. Explore the Gryffindor Dorm if you wish, then exit into the Gryffindor Common Room.
  2. Hermione will join the group in the common room. Approach the exit and a strange dresser will run around eating up pants on the ground and blocking the exit.
  3. Shoot the painting of the red-robed wizard next to the mad Wardrobe. His pants will fall off, distracting the dresser and allowing you to pass.
  4. In the House Hall area ahead, follow the ghost that leaves behind ghost LEGO studs down the stairs.
  5. The ghost leads you into the Great Stairwell. Go up the stairs, ignoring the ghost studs for now. Have Ron bring out Scabbers (press B), and guide Scabbers into the tube so that he rams the bell at the other end.
  6. Go back down the stairs and you will now see an Interaction Point. Use it to move the staircase; follow the ghost stud trail now that you can.
  7. In the next room, the Lobby, explore if you wish, then take the exit to the left-hand side. Follow the ghost stud trail in the next room into Prof. Flitwick's classroom.
  8. After the cutscene, you will have Wingardium Leviosa. You will have to unlock it for good though by rescuing three Students in the classroom (they do not seem to count towards your Students In Peril totals).
  9. First student is simple; right after the cutscene and learning Wingardium Leviosa, just use the spell on the nearby crane holding the heavy weight.
  10. Go to the left afterward and look for two giant LEGO pieces. Use Wingardium Leviosa to make a set of steps that will let you jump up to the second floor.
  11. Next, shoot the manacled man in the painting by the second Student hanging from the chandelier, then use Wingardium Leviosa on the resulting bits, then again on the weight to rescue the student.
  12. For the last Student, use Wingardium on the knight suit's torso and drop it on the knight's "legs" on the pedestal. Next, drop the knight's helmet on the torso, then float its halberd over to it. Finally, use Wingardium Leviosa on the heavy weight; the knight will use his halberd to keep the weight up.
  13. Exit Flitwick's classroom and follow the ghost to the room with the gate underneath the walkway above. Use Wingardium Leviosa on the big LEGO blocks to build the tower depicted in the painting to the left of the gate. When all three are built, the path will open.
  14. Climb the stairs in the next room and shoot the bookshelf nearby George and Fred Weasly, then use Wingardium Leviosa on the resulting parts to unlock the exit. Take it to start "Out of the Dungeon".

Out of the Dungeon

Walkthrough

  1. You are controlling Ron and Harry. Follow the blue troll in the first section. The first thing he does is wreck some pipes, leaking toxic gas.
  2. Send Scabbers into the piping and have him shut down the toxic gas by bumping the valves inside.
  3. Follow the blue troll; he will wreck a statue, causing a giant globe to fall and block the path. First use the nearby big LEGO blocks to climb onto the bookshelf near the fountain.
  4. Next, follow the walkway above, jumping over the gap above the fountain to the torch by the gold knight. Use Wingardium Leviosa on the torch, causing the gold knight to cause some damage to the environment.
  5. Levitate the resulting pieces to create a harpoon, then levitate the harpoon into the hands of the nearby giant statue and it will knock the globe away.
  6. Finally, you'll need a disguise to get past the exit door. Use Wingardium Leviosa on the lamp above the painting past the statue that knocked the globe aside.
  7. Shoot the painting afterward and it will turn your character into a woman. While a woman, use the Interaction Point by the door to open it.
  8. In the next room, you will take on the troll. It will smash the bathroom stalls; after it does, levitate the wreckage into its head to damage it.
  9. It will respond by batting junk at Harry and Ron; levitate the junk it launches right back into it for more damage.
  10. Afterward, it will stand there stunned, dropping its club. Use Wingardium Leviosa to levitate the club above its head, then release in mid-air to send it tumbling onto the creature's head; this will finish the job (you may need to try this a couple times due to iffy hit detection).

Collectibles

  1. House Crest #1: In front of the fountain in the first section are three flopping fish out of water. Levitate them into the fountain.
  2. House Crest #2: In the first section, there are nine empty plant pots; zap all nine for the House Crest. They are mostly easy to spot save for the last one, located to the right of the exit door (you'll need to adjust the camera to spot it).
  3. House Crest #3: The level has seven wall crucibles you must light using Wingardium Leviosa. There are four in the first section and three in the bathroom where you fight the troll.
  4. House Crest #4: You need Reducto to shoot the steel lock on the valve in front of the fountain. Once that's done, levitate the valve to turn on the waterworks; ride it to the crest.
  5. Gold Brick #1: Beat the level.
  6. Gold Brick #2: Get True Wizard at 48000 Studs
  7. Gold Brick #3: Find all four House Crests.
  8. Gold Brick #4: Rescue the Student in Peril
  9. Student In Peril: After the troll smashes the bathroom stalls, it will reveal a Student that's just standing there among the wreckage; touch her to rescue her.
  10. Ron (Girl Disguise): Right at the start, have Hermione or any Bookworm character open the Magic Bookcase.
  11. Harry (Hogwarts): Before going into the woman's bathroom, blast the steel lock on the desk with Reducto, then shoot the desk open.
  12. Madam Malkin: Inside the woman's bathroom, blast the steel lock on the green lockers to the left with Reducto, then shoot the middle locker and use the footstool that pops out to jump up to it.

Hogwarts Studies: Part Two

Lumos

  1. You'll be back at Hogwarts and ready to unlock the next spell. Go back to the hall where Prof. Flitwick's classroom was (where you learned Wingardium Leviosa).
  2. Once there, you will find another door open; enter it.
  3. Inside, you be granted the Lumos spell. As before you will need to complete a task to permanently unlock it. Press B to start the spell, which creates a light source from your wand.
  4. On the bottom floor, find three gold triangle LEGO pieces and pick them up. Carry them to the star-shaped object in the center of the room and set them in place.
  5. Use the giant LEGO blocks to jump to the second floor. Up there, use the Lumos spell to drive off the tentacles guarding the triangle pieces; collect them and set them in place.

Strength Potion

  1. Now that you have Lumos, exit the classroom. Follow the ghost to the next area.
  2. The ghost leads past a set of green tentacles; move them aside with Lumos, then again with the tentacles blocking the way to Snape's classroom.
  3. Enter Snape's classroom; you must now unlock the Strength Potion by finding three ingredients.
  4. First, use Wingardium Leviosa on the coiled snake on the nearby column. It will slither down and you can take the ingredient out of its mouth.
  5. Next, find a gold wall to the left of the snake and use Wingardium Leviosa to move aside the bricks, then levitate the skeleton inside till he coughs up the ingredient.
  6. Finally, use Wingardium Leviosa on the pile of LEGO parts to make a ramp for Scabbers to climb into a tube. Follow the tube to a bowling ball and push it to knock down the ingredient.
  7. Feed all three ingredients into the cauldron and it will become a Strength Potion. Drink it with the B Button and, while under the effect, pull on the nearby chain to unlock the potion for good.

Lumos Solem

  1. Exit the classroom and follow the ghost to the next area. You will need, if you haven't done so already, to levitate the box on the ledge by the lion's head, feeding the lion's head and opening a secret passage that leads into Hogwart's courtyard.
  2. Inside the courtyard, use Lumos on the plants blocking the way out to the left. Follow the ghost in the next area into Prof. Sprout's greenhouse.
  3. After the cutscene, you will notice that Lumos has been replaced with Lumos Solem, which lets you kill the Devil's Snare plants you've seen around Hogwarts. You'll need to rescue Ron with it, but he's blocked off by a giant web of vines.
  4. Go to the back of the class and destroy the objects on the left and the piping on the right. Once they are all in pieces, levitate them into a wagon.
  5. Ride the wagon into the vines to smash them, then shoot the Devil's Snare holding Ron with Lumos Solem. You'll have unlocked the spell for good.

Broomstick Riding

  1. With that done, exit the greenhouse and follow the ghost to the nearby broomstick yard.
  2. Have Harry ride one of the broomsticks; Ron can't gain altitude and Hermione is useless on a broomstick. Hold A to rise altitude and B to lower altitude.
  3. Fly up and shoot the gargoyle holding the crystal ball. He will hand it off to his buddy; chase him around the yard and shoot him three times.
  4. The second gargoyle will then feed him to a plant on the wall; shoot the three giant flowers around the plant to end this mini-game and unlock Broomstick Riding.
  5. Follow the ghost to the next area. He will lead into the secret passage near the courtyard through some vines; use Lumos to move those vines aside.
  6. The ghost leads you into a small garden and disappears behind a boarded-up wall. First, destroy the Devil's Snares in this area, afterward, use Wingardium Leviosa to assemble the LEGOs in the center into a ball-like device.
  7. Next, shoot all of the LEGO bushes in the four corners of the garden; three of them will cough up ingredients.
  8. Toss the ingredients into the nearby cauldron. It will become a Strength Potion. Drink it and pull the chain by the ball-like device; it will blow open the boarded-up passage.
  9. The ghost will now lead you across a broken covered bridge. Use the nearby broomsticks to cross the gap, then use Wingardium Leviosa to repair the bridge to bring your partners along.
  10. The next area is a knoll outside Hagrid's Hut. Keep following the ghost and he will lead you to the area outside the Quidditch Pitch. Enter the tent there to finally begin the next level.

A Jinxed Broom

Walkthrough

  1. Make your way down the stairs towards the painting of the Quidditch players.
  2. Levitate the boxes next to the painting out of the way and follow the passage beyond them.
  3. The catwalk ahead will collapse in a catastrophe; grab the broomstick nearby and use it to cross the gap.
  4. Head over to the tube to the right and levitate the missing pieces into place to repair it.
  5. Have Ron send Scabbers into the tube and follow it to the area above. Scare the girl in the area above and she will knock down a set of giant LEGO blocks.
  6. Arrange the giant LEGO blocks as the picture past them describes and use them to climb up to the area where Scabbers was.
  7. Wreck all the objects in the area until you find enough parts to levitate into a Magic Bookcase. Grab a book and use it on the bookcase. Play the Magic Bookcase mini-game (move the cursor and punch the symbols in matching sequence with the order they light up) and win it to open access to the next area.
  8. In the next section, shoot the brown sheet on the wall to reveal a painting. Shoot the painting to get rid of the Slytherin Quidditch player above.
  9. Use the giant LEGO blocks beneath where the Slytherin player was to climb up to the next area.
  10. In the next area, have Hermione open the Magic Bookshelf to reveal three platforms.
  11. Levitate the three platforms into the three poles up top to snap them into place. Use the platforms as stepping stones to reach the top.
  12. Up top, go left and shoot the statue holding the torch. It will set off a pile of fireworks that will blow open the rafters blocking the level exit.

Collectibles

  1. House Crest #1: There are seven Gryffindor flags at half-staff located throughout the level, pretty much in plain sight; levitate them all for the crest.
  2. House Crest #2: It's floating in plain sight above the giant LEGO blocks you must manipulate; you need to build a tower to it. Stack them like so: leave the gold "T-shaped" piece on the highest peak of the purple LEGOs closest to the crest, then snap the blue one onto the leftmost edge of the yellow piece, so that it makes an upside-down and reversed "L", then finally snap the green one on the blue one.
  3. House Crest #3: Next to the Magic Bookcase Hermione uses is a set of steel bars. Blast through them with Reducto, then kill the Pixies with Immobulus and shoot open their chest.
  4. House Crest #4: Walk where the Slytherin prefect was, past the ladder leading to the final section, to the left and jump around the wood planks blocking your way left (you will need to jump out into the void and try to guide your character around the obstruction in mid-air). If you make it, run to the left, smash the objects until you find a black trash can, then have a Dark Mage uses Crucio on it until it spits the crest up.
  5. Gold Brick #1: Beat the level.
  6. Gold Brick #2: Get True Wizard at 32000 Studs
  7. Gold Brick #3: Find all four House Crests.
  8. Gold Brick #4: Rescue the Student in Peril
  9. Student in Peril: When you blast through the steel bars to get House Crest #3, you will automatically save this one.
  10. Fred (Quidditch): Near the tubes you send Scabbers is a chest with a steel lock; blast it open with Reducto.
  11. Harry (Girl Disguise): Have Ron use Scabbers to crawl underneath the stairs near the second giant LEGO block puzzle and grab it.
  12. Marcus Flint: Right before the end of the level, go left from the second Magic Bookcase and destroy the safe using Crucio.

The Restricted Section

Walkthrough

  1. Back at Hogwarts again, but this time there's little to do except head back into the castle. You'll get a cutscene and then wind up back in the dormitories.
  2. Head into the Gryffindor Dorm to get a cutscene and unlock the Invisibility Cloak for Harry. You will automatically start the next level, "The Restricted Section".
  3. Put on the Invisibility Cloak and approach the mad books. Press Y when close enough to take them out; otherwise, they will rush you and kill you instantly.
  4. Kill both of the books and then head to the statue in the far right corner. Stand on the statue's book and have your partner levitate the book upward to the balcony above.
  5. Explore the balcony and smash the objects up there. You want to wreck the bookcase to open a hole in the wall, and the potted flowers. There's two ingredients there you can grab to bring to the cauldron by the exit door.
  6. Go to the giant statue on the other side of the room. Levitate him so that he knocks down a bunch of books. Stand on the big yellow book and have your partner levitate you upward.
  7. Jump from the book to the stack of books; hold A to trampoline bounce to the balcony above.
  8. Levitate the torch up on the balcony to melt the metal wall. Grab the last ingredient beyond it and use it set off the cauldron and open the exit.
  9. In the next area, Argus Filch will patrol about with his lamp. If he grabs one character, have the other shoot him to distract him. You can also zap his cat to keep him busy.
  10. Go down the first book corridor near Filch and grab the green pipe piece there. Bring it to the second corridor and set it into place on the gate.
  11. Use Wingardium Leviosa to move the other two pieces on the gate into place; the gate will open and you can walk past it and grab the key.
  12. Use the key to open the locked gate past Filch and enter the next segment. Start by having someone shoot the bookstacks blocking access to the tube.
  13. Send Scabbers into the tube and have him knock down the doorknob up top. Levitate it into the door and enter to the final section.
  14. In the third and final section, use Lumos to clear out the vines, releasing a pair of bats.
  15. The bats park it on top of the mirror. Shoot them both to get them to pull away the shutter, revealing the mirror itself, then approach the mirror to end the level.

Collectibles

  1. House Crest #1: There are six pedestals holding empty pots; shoot them all to make plants sprout and get the crest as a reward. There are four in the first section and two in the second.
  2. House Crest #2: Have Hermione or another Bookworm open the Magic Bookcase in the first area.
  3. House Crest #3: Destroy the web where you got the red spider ingredient for the cauldron in the first section using any Dark Mage's Crucius spell. Wreck the plants behind it and you should find the crest.
  4. House Crest #4: There are three spider webs in the third and final area; find and destroy the spiders sitting inside each for a crest.
  5. Gold Brick #1: Beat the level.
  6. Gold Brick #2: Get True Wizard at 60000 Studs
  7. Gold Brick #3: Find all four House Crests.
  8. Gold Brick #4: Rescue the Student in Peril.
  9. Student in Peril: In the second section, go down the first corridor, where you get the green pipe piece, there's a steel birdcage. Blow it up with Reducto, and look for a very hard-to-spot book/bird thing lying where the bird cage was. Levitate it and it will fly into the middle area and barf up LEGOs. Levitate the LEGOs into a wall-mounted clock, and levitate that to make it spit out the Student.
  10. Harry (Pyjamas): Use Reducto to blow up the steel box underneath the right-side balcony in the first area.
  11. Filch: In the second area, use Griphook to open the safe by the gate.
  12. Neville (Pyjamas): In the final area, have a Dark Mage use Crucio on the cabinet emitting red sparks.

The Forbidden Forest

Walkthrough

  1. You will start this one soon enough and will have a team of four here: Ron, Hermione, Hagrid, and his dog Fang, who can dig on Dig Points to unearth objects (brown mounds emitting paw-print symbols)
  2. Make sure to shoot down any giant bee hives that spawn bees as you progress. Go right and blast your way to a pile of disks.
  3. Levitate the disks into a rain cloud; it will make a tree pop up. There's a ladder on the tree; have Fang climb it and dig on the Dig Point up top.
  4. Little creatures will pop up out of the ground and create a ladder for the group to climb up to the next section. Do so.
  5. Battle your way to the right and look for a Dig Point. Have Fang dig into it to cause the ground to cave in, revealing the exit.
  6. In the next area, battle your way down to the bottom of the gulch. Use Lumos to clear the green vines, then zap the rotting vines to open the next passage out.
  7. In the next area, move forward past the various plant dangers and enter the lake. Have Fang dig on the Dig Point in the center to drain it.
  8. With the lake drained, have Hagrid yank the chain in the lake bed, then have the group use the giant LEGO blocks to jump up to the cliff above the lake.
  9. Go right and you should eventually find cobwebs with LEGO parts wrapped up inside them. Destroy them and levitate the remains into a tree.
  10. Use Wingardium Leviosa on the tree to create a bridge that leads up to the level exit.

Collectibles

  1. House Crest #1: In the first section are three fair-sized plants with yellow flowers; zap all three of them.
  2. House Crest #2: Find and destroy ten black rocks emitted red sparks with Crucio. There are three in the first section, one in the second, and the rest in the third.
  3. House Crest #3: After draining the lake, you'll find six fish lying around on the dried lake bed. Levitate them all into the small pool of water that was once the lake.
  4. House Crest #4: Drain the lake and you will find a chest with a big-ass steel lock on it. Nuke it with Reducto and out comes the crest and a dancing skeleton.
  5. Gold Brick #1: Beat the level.
  6. Gold Brick #2: Get True Wizard at 70000 Studs
  7. Gold Brick #3: Find all four House Crests.

  9. Student In Peril: Right in plain sight at the start; destroy the Devil's Snare holding the Student captive.
  10. Fang: In the first section, walk along the bottom area and you will eventually come across two groups of tentacles guarding a Dig Point. Destroy them with Lumos and have Fang take care of the Dig Point.
  11. Hagrid: In the third section, you'll find it in a chest locked with a steel bolt you will need to blast open with Reducto, by the giant LEGO blocks.
  12. Draco (Hogwarts): Above the west-end of the lake on the cliff is a black spherical ball; destroy it with Crucio.

Face of the Enemy

Walkthrough

  1. Zap the portrait of the wizard bathing and he will throw a rubber duck at the ground.
  2. Zap the rubber duck to make it grow, then levitate it towards Fluffy. This will distract him, and allow you to levitate the LEGO parts on the ground into a harp that will open the exit.
  3. Drop down through the exit. Waste all the Devil's Snare plants and other dangers, then exit the room.
  4. In the next room, shoot through more plants and enter the shaft with the Winged Keys.
  5. Levitate the bucket near the wizard statue onto his head. Take his broomstick and chase after the big Winged Key. Shoot it repeatedly until it falls.
  6. Levitate the big key into the keyhole to unlock it. Enter the next area to encounter a giant chess board with giant pieces. You will be controlling the black pieces.
  7. Shoot the black pawn closest to the black knight. Next, shoot the next pawn down, closest to the black king, then the one below him.
  8. Ride the black knight like any vehicle and move forward. Afterward, ride the black rook forward.
  9. Shoot the black bishop and he should take out the white queen; black LEGO pieces will fall on the floor as well. Levitate them all until the black queen is formed, then shoot the queen and she should take out the white king. Time now for a boss fight against Quirrell.
  10. Quirrell will cause a fiery chasm to appear, separating him from Hermione and Harry, and start raining fireballs on the group. Start dodging the fireballs as best you can.
  11. After throwing a barrage of fireballs, Quirrell will throw out what looks like a flying green pumpkin. Target it with Wingardum Leviosa and levitate it back into Quirrell's face, stunning him.
  12. While Quirrell is stunned, as Harry, jump over the chasm and touch Quirrell. He should take damage and then throw Harry back across the chasm.
  13. You will need to repeat this twice. Each time you hurt Quirrell, he makes the chasm more difficult to jump over, eventually reducing it to a massive gap with small islands that will require precise jumping to cross.

Collectibles

  1. House Crest #1: After getting past Fluffy and dropping into the Devil's Snare room, blow up the steel chest with Reducto.
  2. House Crest #2: Destroy all the steel keys in the Winged Key room using Reducto.
  3. House Crest #3: In the Chess Board room, there's a steel trunk by the entrance. Shoot it with Reducto to make a black knight piece jump out. Ride him and he will automatically throw you up to the crest.
  4. House Crest #4: In the Chess Board room, there's a chunk of black rock on the floor below the chess board itself (on the side closest to the camera). Destroy it with Crucio.
  5. Gold Brick #1: Beat the level.
  6. Gold Brick #2: Get True Wizard at 33000 Studs.
  7. Gold Brick #3: Find all four house crests.
  8. Gold Brick #4: Rescue the Student In Peril.
  9. Student In Peril: In the room with the Winged Keys, fly up the shaft using the broomstick until you spot some vines blocking a hole. Park on the nearby cliff and zap the vines with Lumos Solem.
  10. Harry (Slytherin Disguise): In the Winged Key room there's a nightstand locked with a steel bolt. Blow the lock and then the nightstand up with Reducto.
  11. Ron (Cardigan): On the floor behind the white king piece is a fallen black chess piece; destroy it with Crucio.
  12. Professor Quirrell (Voldemort): On the floor behind the black king piece is a fallen black chess piece; destroy it with Crucio.

Year 2: Floo Powder!

Walkthrough

  1. Simple business at the start. Enter the Weasley house when you're ready, then make your way to the living room and levitate the blue chair to reveal Ginnny Weasley.
  2. Have Ginny use the Interaction Point and the painting above will toss down an object. Levitate it into the fireplace, turning it into a warp point. The group dives in, but Harry is separated and ends up with Hagrid inside the shop "Borgin & Burke".
  3. Search the shop for a broom and levitate it to clean up a mirror. This reveals an Interaction Point near the giant fist statue; have Hagrid use it.
  4. Levitate the object that falls out of the giant hand (a sword) into the painting with the wizard and the dragon. It will return the favor with a green key. Use it to unlock the exit door.
  5. Outside, shoot all the jack-in-the-boxes until you find parts that you can levitate into a pull chain for Hagrid to use to move the shop cart aside.
  6. Continue up the alleyway and have Hagrid use the pull chain to end this level.

Collectibles

  1. House Crest #1: There are six gnomes in the yard outside the Weasley house. Levitate one up into the air until it starts spinning, then release and press B again to launch it. Launch all six of them this way.
  2. House Crest #2: There's a pile of LEGOs by the basketball hoop. Levitate them into a pumpkin-like car, then hop in and run over the carrot stalks on the ground to make them pop out of the ground. Use Wingardum Leviosa on all seven exposed carrots.
  3. House Crest #3: There's a large trunk in the shop that tries to eat you if you approach it. Shoot it to kill it and open the lid, then jump inside it. Destroy the black ball inside with Crucio.
  4. House Crest #4: You'll see the crest itself in plain sight in the alleyway, before the level exit. To reach it, levitate the lumber from the cart into steps leading to a black gate, then destroy the gate with Crucio.
  5. Gold Brick #1: Beat the level.
  6. Gold Brick #2: Get True Wizard at 60000 Studs.
  7. Gold Brick #3: Find all four House Crests.
  8. Gold Brick #4: Rescue the Student In Peril.
  9. Student in Peril: Once you warp into the shop, search for a wardrobe locked with a steel bolt and blast it open with Reducto.
  10. George Weasley: Dig up the Dig Point underneath the basketball hoop at the Weasley House.
  11. Arthur Weasley: Blow up the safe in the shop emitting red sparks with Crucio.
  12. Harry (Sweater): Blast the trunk in plain sight in the alleyway past the jack-in-the-box shop cart.

Hogwarts Studies: Part Three

Mandrake Handling

  1. More studies and more abilities to unlock; start by exploring the pavilion you start in for three ingredients. One of them will require that you wreck the bushes in the southeast corner, levitate the bones that come out into a skeleton, then ram the skeleton with your body to get the ingredient.
  2. Put all the ingredients into the cauldron to make a Strength Potion, then use it to yank the nearby chain and open the door.
  3. Take the door and you'll be back in Hogwart's courtyard area. Follow the ghost to Prof. Sprout's greenhouse.
  4. Inside, you will be instructed to climb into a Wardrobe; do so to be granted earmuffs. This allows you to safely approach the screaming Mandrakes, letting you pick them up with the B button.
  5. Put the Mandrakes each in a pot. Once you plant all of the Mandrakes, you're done, and you will now be able to use all the Wardrobes in the main game.

Transfiguration

  1. You have the opportunity to complete an optional class. The Transfiguration spell is not useful (mostly because it has to share room with the loads of other spells in the red slot, making it hard to select), but it is still a spell to learn nonetheless. At any rate, exit Sprout's greenhouse and follow the ghost to the next area.
  2. Eventually the ghost will flit behind a glass-walled gate. You'll need to use the nearby Mandrake to smash it.
  3. Go right and up the next steps to the Wardrobe, however, instead of taking it, enter the nearby door into Prof. McGonagall's classroom.
  4. After the cutscene, have Harry stand in the ring of fire and press B to transform the attacking dummy with the Transfiguration spell. Note that this spell shares the same slot with any spell you bought in Ollivander's Wand Shop and will alternate between it and them. If you want to use Transfiguration, then when you have that slot selected, you want to time your B button presses so that Harry fires when the image of the frog appears in your spell icon.
  5. Shoot two dummies with the Transfiguration spell, then have Harry leave the ring of fire and let Ron have a go. Have Ron take out two dummies with the Transfiguration spell.
  6. It will be Hermione's turn last; have her take out two of the dummies with the Transfiguration spell and you will have unlocked it.

Immobulus

  1. Exit McGonagall's classroom and enter the Wardrobe outside. Get the earmuffs and use the Mandrake to blast down the glass gate next to it.
  2. Head into Prof. Lockhart's class nearby. You will have the Immobulus spell ready; shoot all the Pixies with it repeatedly till they die.
  3. After the first wave of Pixies are down, a cutscene will occur, and more will attack. Just spam B right where you stand and you will get almost all of them immediately. Kill any surviving Pixies left.
  4. After this is done, head out of the classroom and follow the ghost to the Quidditch Pitch. Enter the tent to start the next level.

Dobby's Plan

Walkthrough

  1. Levitate the trapdoor open at the start and drop down. Shoot the chest nearby and a giant hand will pop out.
  2. Shoot the hand and it will hurl the Bludger ball to the left, smashing some objects. Levitate the remains into a trampoline you can use to bounce up to the next area.
  3. Head right and you will find Dobby; shoot him and he will take damage and disappear.
  4. Have Hagrid pull on the chain next to where Dobby was standing. It will lower a platform; use it to cross the gap. Shoot at Dobby when you spot him.
  5. Next, use Immobulus to take out the Pixies and Lumos to take out the vines behind them. This releases a Snitch that will trash the area above.
  6. Go to the right and wreck enough objects until you've got enough LEGO parts to levitate into a staircase leading upward. Take those stairs up.
  7. Follow the path to the ladder and climb up. Levitate the purple ball by the iron gate into the purple "hook" of the crane above. This will open the gate.
  8. Head inside, go left, climb the ladder, and shoot Dobby. He will flee into a wardrobe.
  9. Have Hagrid yank the chain near where Dobby was standing, then use the giant LEGO blocks that appear to climb up to the platform where the wardrobes are.
  10. Shoot the wardrobe holding Dobby, then blast him as he comes out; he will flee into a barrel on the other side of the gap.
  11. Drop down and destroy the Pixies holding up the drawbridge. Cross the bridge, shoot the barrel, then levitate it to get Dobby out. Shoot Dobby to finally end it.
  12. After the cutscene, you'll be in Madam Pomfrey's ward. You need to find three ingredients to place in the cauldron near Harry's bed.
  13. The first one requires that you levitate a part onto a skeleton near a sick patient. The skeleton will come to life only for the patient to kill it. Take the ingredient it leaves behind.
  14. Next, take control of Madam Pomfrey and use her spell to blast the steel lock on the Wardrobe. Get some earmuffs out of there, then grab the Mandrake and use it to wreck the glass flower case to the left from the Wardbrobe. Take the ingredient from the plant inside it.
  15. The last one is in the next room. First, levitate the bed holding the patient with the green shirt. Use the LEGO parts you find underneath to make a knight that will bash open the exit for you.
  16. In the next room, levitate the purple broom upwards so that you wreck the purple spider web on the ceiling. Grab the red spider that appears (it's an ingredient) and throw it it to the pot along with the others to end the level.

Collectibles

  1. House Crest #1: There are four flags at half-staff located in the level that you must raise using Wingardum Leviosa to get the crest. Look for a pair of flags next to each of the two trapdoors.
  2. House Crest #2: There are four small barrels holding a little flag, located throughout the level. Shoot them all; they are easy to spot.
  3. House Crest #3: In the area where you final beat Dobby, before doing so, levitate the wall scroll next to the closets and the one next to the red barrel Dobby hides in. Have any Slytherin character use the Interaction Point in front of both wall scrolls to get the crest.
  4. House Crest #4: In Madam Pomfrey's ward, find the safe in the back and have Griphook unlock it.
  5. Gold Brick #1: Beat the level.
  6. Gold Brick #2: Get True Wizard at 68000 Studs.
  7. Gold Brick #3: Find all four House Crests.
  8. Gold Brick #4: Rescue the Student In Peril.
  9. Student in Peril: In the area where you defeat Dobby, there's a chest covered in vines underneath the platform with the closets. Get rid of the vines with Lumos and blow open the chest with Reducto.
  10. Draco (Quidditch): After you build the stairs to follow Dobby into the second trapdoor, go underneath the stairs and look for a very hard-to-spot black safe you can blow up with Crucio.
  11. Dobby: Use the springy beds in Madam Pomfrey's ward to bounce up to the unlockable.
  12. Madam Pomfrey: Next to the Magic Bookcase is a water dispenser. Blow off the red lock on it with Crucio, then shoot the dispenser.

Hogwarts Studies: Part Four

Expelliarmus, Parseltongue

  1. Follow the ghost as usual to the Hogwarts Great Hall.
  2. Once inside, after the cutscene, you'll need to destroy 10 dummies coming down from each of the three "lanes". Just spam your Transfiguration attacks, or a similar spells from that slot. You'll need to destroy five as Ron and five as Harry.
  3. Afterward, you (and your co-op partner, if there is one) will be dueling on the table against a single enemy. Just stand still and spam the regular shots; your character should "auto-dodge" any return fire (as pressing X while getting shot at will perform a side hop dodge). There's no real penalty for losing anyway other than a loss of Studs.
  4. Once you've dealt with these two scenarios, you will have unlocked Expelliarmus and Parseltongue.

Polyjuice Potion

  1. Follow the ghost as usual and he will lead you to the Slytherin House area. Have Harry talk to the snake outside the entrance and it will drop LEGO pieces. Levitate them one by one onto the purple pedestal to the left to create a snake statue that will open the entrance.
  2. Inside, head to the Interaction Point and use it. After the cutscene, follow the ghost to Snape's classroom.
  3. Once inside, get three ingredients into the gold pot. Use Wingardum Leviosa to move the gold bricks on the left side of the room for one ingredient.
  4. For another one, shoot all the colored bottles on the tables near the mounted pot; after the pot is fed some liquids, a plant will sprout out of it, holding the ingredient.
  5. Finally, blast the bronze cauldron and a purple tentacle should appear, eventually leaving behind the last ingredient.
  6. Once you've dumped all the ingredients into the gold pot, you will instantly unlock Justin Finch-Fletchley, without even having to purchase him at Madam Minch's. Drink from the gold pot and select either Justin or any other Hufflepuff member if you've unlocked some, and you will transform into that person.
  7. Face the right-most portrait of the Hufflepuff Student and use the Interaction Point while in the form of Justin or any Hufflepuff member. The portrait will open th and you will have unlocked the Polyjuice Potion, allowing you to use any gold pot you find to transform into any characters you've unlocked.
  8. Follow the ghost as usual to the next destination. He will lead you to the Hufflepuff portrait outside the Great Hall. Bluff past it as Justin or another Hufflepuff character.
  9. Go up the spiral staircase past the portrait to the "haunted bathroom" corridor. Follow the corridor to a ruptured pipe, leaking toxic gas.
  10. Blast the wall-mounted box nearby and levitate the piping there to divert the toxic leak, allowing you to pass.
  11. Keep going right for a cutscene, then enter the open door ahead to start the next level.

Crabbe and Goyle

Walkthrough

  1. Once again, you have to fetch three ingredients. Start by levitate the hair off of the sleeping Crabbe and Goyle and dunk the combined hair ingredient into the pot.
  2. Next, use Wingardum Leviosa on the big red valve handle above the toilets while standing one of the toilets below. This will make the lids of several toilets fly into the air; jump to the left from toilet lid to toilet lid until you land on a blue toilet lid that was already flying before; your weight will shove it downward and make the toilet below explode.
  3. Levitate the remains into plumbing that will repair one of the pipes. Water will then flow down onto a flower in one of the stalls, eventually making it explode.
  4. Levitate the remains into a fan that will blow away the toxic gas in one of the middle stall. Now you can grab the ingredient there and dump it in the pot.
  5. Next to where the flower-turned-fan was is a broom. Levitate it upwards into the shelf to drop a valve handle. Bring the handle over to the boiler nearby, attach it, and use it to get the boiler to explode and drop the last ingredient.
  6. Once you drink from the gold pot after dumping the last ingredient, a cutscene will occur and you will immediately be at the Slytherin House, with Ron and Harry in Slytherin disguise and Hermione in "cat form".
  7. You need to shut off the torrent of spraying water here to reach the Interaction Point. Start by using Lumos to remove the vines in the tunnel to the right of the spraying water.
  8. Levitate the chest the vines were guarding, then levitate the parts it dumps out into a snake flute that causes four giant snakes to pop in and out of the manholes in the room.
  9. You can use the giant snakes to reach the blue Studs above them, otherwise, shoot them in the mouths each to kill them, then levitate the remains into a gold knight that will shut off the water.
  10. Have either Ron or Harry use the interaction point to enter the Slytherin Dorm Lounge. Go right until you find a globe holding a big goldfish.
  11. Levitate the globe and the fish will jump out and start hopping to the left toward the tank with the skull. Levitate the fish into the tank, then levitate the skull out of the tank.
  12. Levitate the eyes into the sockets of the snake statue above and you're done with this level.

Collectibles

  1. House Crest #1: When you start this level in Free Play, choose someone with Superstrength like Hagrid, in case the Free Play selection screws you (and here it can actually). At the start of the level, yank the pull chain by the boiler with Superstrength, then assemble the resulting parts into a plunger, then ride the plunger and clean up all the green puddles of goo on the ground.
  2. House Crest #2: In the Slytherin House entrance area, there are three LEGO fish lying on the ground. Levitate them all into the pond and the crest will eventually appear out of one of the pools.
  3. House Crest #3: In the Slytherin Common Room, there are six lanterns high up on the walls; levitate all six for the crest.
  4. House Crest #4: In the Slytherin Common Room, blow up the black ball right near where you start using Crucio.
  5. Gold Brick #1: Beat the level.
  6. Gold Brick #2: Get True Wizard at 25000 Studs.
  7. Gold Brick #3: Find all four House Crests.
  8. Gold Brick #4: Rescue the Student In Peril.
  9. Student In Peril: In the Slytherin Common Room, levitate the broom by the fireplace and some parts should eventually fly out of it. Levitate the parts into a painting and use the Interaction Point that appears afterward; the guy in the painting will rescue the Student standing on the stack of wine glasses.
  10. Vincent Crabbe: In the bathroom, blast through the steel barricades by the start point with Reducto; the unlockable is just past them.
  11. Gregory Goyle: In the Slytherin Common Room, blow up the black safe by the fireplace using Crucio.
  12. Ron (Slytherin Disguise): In the Slytherin Common Room, on the east end, underneath two of the lanterns you levitate for House Crest #3. Shoot the steel lock off of the desk there with Reducto.

Tom Riddle's Diary

Walkthrough

  1. You're back at Hogwarts on the haunted bathroom corridor. Head right and follow the ghost into the same area you entered to start the "Crabbe and Goyle" level.
  2. Right off the bat, you start with a boss fight against Moaning Myrtle. Just levitate the junk she hurls back into the stalls, smashing them open. When you smash enough stalls Myrtle will appear.
  3. Shoot Myrtle when ever she appears to damage her. Repeat this process and when Myrtle is one hit away from defeat, she will float out of the stalls and wander about; gun her down.
  4. After defeating Myrtle, Harry will end up inside a past-version of Hogwarts along with Tom Riddle. You need to search together for three ingredients for a cauldron to make a Strength Potion.
  5. Smash the bookshelf near the start of this area to find the first ingredient. Dump it ino the cauldron ahead.
  6. Next, jump on the pedestals to make ledges pop out of the walls. Have one partner stay behind to jump on the pedestals to keep the ledges popping out while the other climbs upward (the CPU partner is good at doing this).
  7. Jump your way to the right and levitate the valve handle in the niche to fix it into place on the stem. Jump on the handle and this should lock the ledges permanently in place.
  8. Jump and run along the ledges to the walkway to the left, following it to a pot sitting next to a suit of armor. Shoot the pot and grab the ingredient; dump it in the cauldron.
  9. Get back up the ledges again and this time head right past the valve handle. Jump over the gap and shoot the shuddering shelf to get the last ingredient. Throw all the ingredients into the cauldron to get the Strength Potion ready.
  10. Use Lumos to get rid of the vines, blocking the Wardrobe, then get ear muffs out of it and grab the Mandrake. Use it to smash open the glass gate blocking access to a pull chain.
  11. Power up on the Strength Potion and then pull the chain. Several giant LEGO blocks will appear to your right. Use them to create a bridge above the purple archways, allowing you in the future to cross the gap above those archways (don't cross that bridge yet, you need to make one more)
  12. Go right and blow away the two Pixies using Immobulus. Stack up the giant LEGO pieces they drop so that they make a stack on top of the middle of the second set of purple archways. Now you have a stepping stone across the gap above this archway.
  13. Power up on the Strength Potion and then race up the ledges across the gaps using your makeshift bridges to a ledge holding a pull chain. Yank on it to get the giant boar below to move out of the way.
  14. Drop down and enter the next section. Follow the path down the hall to a staircase leading pointlessly down into a wall.
  15. Jump on the nearby pedestal to get the staircase to move, having it lead upwards to the next ledge instead. Climb those stairs and continue.
  16. Shoot the painting ahead and it will throw down a valve handle. Levitate it onto the pole and then jump on the resulting pedestal to move the next set of stairs.
  17. Keep going right and you should spot a massive wall blocking your path. Rotating the nearby table with Wingardum Leviosa causes the wall to rotate as well; position one character by the wall and the other rotating the table, allowing the character to be turned towards the other side of the wall.
  18. There's another table on the other side that rotates the wall; have the character that made it to the other side bring the first character over in the same manner.
  19. Finally, use Wingardum Leviosa on the tall archways ahead until a cutscene occurs and the level ends.

Collectibles

  1. House Crest #1: During the boss fight against Myrtle, find a chest wrapped with steel chains next to the stalls and blow it open with Reducto. Ride the bouncing plunger that comes out and use it to clean up the five puddles of water in the area.
  2. House Crest #2: There are six suits of armor in the area where Harry first warps back to Hogwart's past. Shoot them all for the crest.
  3. House Crest #3: Just before the first movable staircase is a chest with a steel lock, near the sleeping wizard. Destroy the steel lock with Reducto (Tom Riddle will have the spell on Story Mode).
  4. House Crest #4: In the second section, with all the movable staircases and whatnot, seek out and shoot all three radios. They are in plain sight.
  5. Gold Brick #1: Beat the level.
  6. Gold Brick #2: Get True Wizard at 69000 Studs.
  7. Gold Brick #3: Find all four House Crests.
  8. Gold Brick #4: Rescue the Student In Peril.
  9. Student in Peril: Have Hermione open the Magic Bookcase in the first area with Tom Riddle to get a key. Use it to unlock the closet to the left of the Wardrobe.
  10. Moaning Myrtle: During the boss fight against Myrtle, go to the right past the ring of sinks and blow up the black safe there using Crucio.
  11. Vocalist: Right as you enter the second area with Tom Riddle, you'll see a safe Griphook can open, dead in sight.
  12. Professor Vector: Keep going right past the level exit and you'll spot a safe Griphook can open, next to the last radio.

Follow the Spiders

Walkthrough

  1. You have Ron and Harry as usual, as well as Fang for this one. Start by trashing and levitating all the plants in the area until you find a living tree trunk you can ride like a vehicle.
  2. Have Harry or Ron ride the tree trunk to the ledge to the right. Jump off the tree trunk onto the ledge.
  3. Go northward from the ledge and destroy all the plants and bushes you find until you uncover some gray disks. Use Wingardum Leviosa to transform them into a rain cloud.
  4. Levitate the rain cloud over the wilting tree to your left. This will cause forest creatures to pop out and create a ladder for Fang and the other partner to use to reach you.
  5. Go right from the ladder and have Fang use the Dig Point to knock the big tree down. Use the fallen tree to cross the gap.
  6. Make your way down to the dock and use Lumos to clear out the vines. Levitate the broomsticks there to activate them and ride them across the lake. Once on the other shore, repair the second dock using Wingardum Leviosa so you can get back ashore easy in case you fall in the lake.
  7. Make your way to the right to a dead-end; Pixies will appear and destroy a ladder. Forest creatures will then appear and create a new ladder for you, so climb it and head right.
  8. You should find the same Pixies from before congregating around a tree. Kill them all with Immobulus and the tree will explode, revealing a Dig Point. Drop down the hole and get ready for a boss battle.
  9. Aragog, the giant spider, will constantly hurl globs of webbing. Dodge them, while killing the large brown spiders for health. If you want the Arachnophobia achievement, have Ron kill 20 of these brown spiders.
  10. Aragog will eventually send a large black spider out. What you want to do is shoot it to stun it, then use Wingardum Leviosa to raise it into the air, then release and press B again to fling it into Aragog's face, damaging him.
  11. Repeat this twice; Aragog will be defeated, however, the danger is not over yet.
  12. After the boss fight, you will need to escape from Aragog in the Weasley Car. Just drive down the linear path, staying ahead of the giant spider, and you'll be fine; there's little penalty for dying anyway save a loss of Studs that you cannot recover unlike normally.

Collectibles

  1. House Crest #1: There are 10 groups of tall mushroom stalks scattered about this level; they are somewhat easy to spot as long as you keep a good eye out. Destroy them all with Wingardum Leviosa; if you haven't missed one, you should have found the tenth one by the tree with the Pixies.
  2. House Crest #2: In the lake you cross using broomsticks, there's a steel wall. Blow it down by diving into the water, then jumping out of the water and firing a Reducto shot at it. Two frogs will come out; hop onto one with the Y button and pilot the the frog underneath the vine arches with the lights. More arches will appear; guide the frog through each of them until you've done them all, and the crest will appear.
  3. House Crest #3: In the arena with Aragog; have a Dark Mage blow up a black ball in the area using Crucio.
  4. House Crest #4: During the Aragog chase sequence, you need to ram 6 outhouse-looking structures with the Weasley Car; it helps if you crank up your TV's brightness as this area is dark. You should hit the first two before the cutscene of Aragog chasing you down the ravine, then three more afterward, then the final one to the far left near a purple Stud, right after dropping down a small cliff.
  5. Gold Brick #1: Beat the level.
  6. Gold Brick #2: Get True Wizard at 98000 Studs.
  7. Gold Brick #3: Find all four House Crests.
  8. Gold Brick #4: Rescue the Student In Peril.
  9. Student in Peril: He's trapped in the arena where you fight Aragog over to the right; shoot him to free him. You'll likely accidentally free him before you even see him trying to shoot down Aragog's spider hordes.
  10. Ron (Sweater): In plain sight to the left of the second ladder the forest creatures create (near the second dock).
  11. Professor Sinistra: Once you get past the lake using the broomsticks, look for a black safe in the area and blow it up with Crucio.
  12. Lucius Malfoy: In the arena with Aragog; blast open the steel-bolt chest using Reducto.

The Basilisk

Walkthrough

  1. As always, follow the ghost to where you need to go next. It will lead you into Prof. Lockhart's classroom; once you enter, the level begins proper.
  2. Walk along the stalls in the haunted bathroom and enter the open stall. Levitate the toilet box downward (ignore Myrtle).
  3. Now keep going left along the stalls until you find a painting of a wizard. Shoot it and levitate the LEGO remains out of the way of the tube's entrance.
  4. Send Scabbers into the tube. Have him step on the red button inside, then follow the tube to the valve handle on the side of the toilet box you lowered and ram it. The stall below opens and parts will fly out of the toilet, but you can't mess with them for now.
  5. Vines will appear in the stall next door. Get rid of them with Lumos and the stall will open. Levitate the tube part inside into place on the tube.
  6. Vines will appear in another stall; get rid of them with Lumos as well and lower the toilet box downward here as well.
  7. Now send Scabbers over to the second toilet box. Have him ram the valve; a frog will hop out of the toilet and dive into a cupboard.
  8. Levitate the cupboard and a bunch of LEGO parts will fall out. Levitate them into some sort of strange plunger-like device you can ride. Ride the device onto the toilet with the green glow.
  9. Once the plunger lands on the glowing toilet, it will extract a pile of LEGO parts. You can levitate these and the parts from the other toilet to create the Chamber of Secrets itself. Have Harry use the Interaction Point by the Chamber of Secrets to open up a hole.
  10. Drop down the hole into a new area. Go left and climb the cliffs with the tentacles, Lumos-ing them out of the way.
  11. Levitate the plunger into the maw of the giant octopus to get rid of it, then levitate the parts it leaves behind to create a platform you can rise up with Wingardum Leviosa.
  12. Use the platform to reach the cliff on the other side of the half-pipe. Follow the trail of Studs to a pile of bones.
  13. Levitate the bones into a top-hat wearing skeleton. It will fish out a plunger of the water, revealing the octopus from before below.
  14. The octopus will be squirting a geyser of water below. Use the geyser to cross the gap to a pile of LEGO parts on the other side. Levitate the parts and they should assemble into a bridge you can use to reach the next section.
  15. Ahead is a giant LEGO snake head. Just bring it down with levitation, then step into its mouth; it will bring the character up to the exit hole where you can dive in to start the boss fight against the Basilisk.
  16. Ron and Lockhart will be MIA for this battle, replaced by Ginny Weasley instead. Start by positioning them against any one of three piles of round LEGO rocks. The Basilisk's eyebeams do not hurt per se, but if they touch your character long enough, the character will freeze and the Basilisk will kill him/her with a one-hit KO. Keep jumping up and down to avoid being frozen by the eyebeams.
  17. Stand in front of any large pile of LEGO rocks and wait for the Basilisk's eyebeams to disappear; it will start rearing its head back. When it does, run out of the way as it will strike, smashing its face into the rocks. Jump over the resulting shockwave as well or you will take damage.
  18. Each of the three rock piles, when smashed will reveal a mini-puzzle you need to solve to get an ingredient. For the one on the far left of the room, levitate the now-unburied chest open, then jump and shoot the python that appears in the head. Take the ingredient it drops.
  19. For the middle one, levitate the unburied chest there to reveal a skeleton; take the ingredient it drops. The last rockpile reveals a giant snake Harry must interact with using his innate Parseltounge ability to get the final ingredient.
  20. Dump all the ingredients into the cauldron to make a Strength Potion. Drink it, then run to the left, looking for a pull chain near the left-most rockpile.
  21. Yank on the pull chain and a cutscene will play of the Phoenix, which will drop the Sorting Hat off on a cliff and attack the Basilisk.
  22. Run to the front of the room and shoot at the Basilisk repeatedly until it retreats to the cliff where the Sorting Hat is.
  23. Go back to the area by the pull chain; the camera should now swing closer to you to give you a view of a giant green pipe. Levitate the two hooks by the pipe to lower it down; jump into the lowered pipe hole to warp over to where the Sorting Hat is.
  24. Shoot at the Basilisk to distract it and keep it from blowing Harry/Ginny aside, then levitate the Sorting Hat to get it to drop the Gryffindor Sword.
  25. You must now distract the Basilisk again, and this time levitate and guide the Gryffindor Sword manually into the head of the Basilisk. It will die instantly, ending the level.

Collectibles

  1. House Crest #1: There are four piles of bones you can levitate to form a top hat-wearing skeleton each. Do so to get the crest. The first three are located all around you from where you first land underground from the haunted bathroom; the last one is the skeleton that pulls the plunger out of the octopus' mouth and is a can't-miss.
  2. House Crest #2: There are four Dig Points in the second area of the level (with all the bones) that you can dig up with a Digger; they are all in plain sight.
  3. House Crest #3: Blow open the steel manhole on the wall in the Basilisk's arena using Reducto, then levitate the resulting parts into a wooden clock.
  4. House Crest #4: After you damage the Basilisk enough to get him to flee to the upper area, he will knock down a bunch of rubble from the ceiling. Some of the rubble are actually three musical instruments. Levitate each one until they start playing.
  5. Gold Brick #1: Beat the level.
  6. Gold Brick #2: Get True Wizard at 60000 Studs.
  7. Gold Brick #3: Find all four House Crests.
  8. Gold Brick #4: Rescue the Student In Peril.
  9. Student in Peril: She will appear out of one of the vine-covered bathroom stalls you open up and is essentially un-missable.
  10. Wizard (Green): Simply use Crucio on the black chest very near the plunger you use to plug up the octopus.
  11. Gilderoy Lockhart: Also right next to Wizard (Green) in another black chest you mus blow up with Crucio.
  12. Tom Riddle: In the arena with the Basilisk, look for a safe that Griphook can open.

News From Azkaban

Walkthrough

  1. After the long cutscene, you start with a boss fight with the Monster Book of Monsters using Harry and Arthur Weasley.
  2. The book can't be hurt by regular means, so jump onto the bed to stay out of its reach and levitate the portrait of the three wizards next to it.
  3. One of the other portraits will come to life, distracting the Monster Book. While it's distracted, shoot the portrait. After a series of events and pratfalls, the book will eventually end up on the ground, stunned. While it's stunned, run up to it and press B to damage it.
  4. Get back onto the bed to avoid its bite and levitate the portrait again. This time it will get distracted by the picture above the fireplace. Shoot the picture, then levitate the wood it drops, then the bellows by the fireplace. Eventually this will stun the book again and you can damage it with the B button context action.
  5. Get back on the bed and levitate the portrait again. It should throw a duck out into the room that will stun the book. Take it out with a final B button context action.
  6. The action now moves to Kings Cross Station. You must get Harry and Hermione onto the train. Start by walking to the right (ignore the out-of-control turnstile). Note that jumping onto the tracks is fatal.
  7. Shoot the cage holding the owl; a giant stemmed flower will pop out. Levitate it and manually guide the flower onto the train's funnel, shutting off the steam barrier it's generating.
  8. Keep going right and you will eventually come to a dead-end, with two passengers sleeping on top of luggage. Levitate the loud speaker on the ground into the intercom pole to wake them up and get them to leave.
  9. Inside the luggage is an ingredient (take it) and a pile of LEGO parts. Levitate them and they will make a portable trampoline.
  10. Carry the trampoline to the green suitcase near where you started and set it there as the blue arrow indicates. Use the trampoline to bounce up onto the train.
  11. Go left on top of the train and drop down to the student wearing the black shirt. The crazed turnstile will break free and cause a rampage; dodge it, then levitate the remains of the destruction into a Strength Potion cauldron.
  12. Dunk the ingredient you got earlier into the cauldron, then get back onto the top of the train. Go right and grab another ingredient past the coal cart.
  13. Bring it to the cauldron and dump it. Now go left and smash the glowing cage to get another ingredient, as well as all the other objects there to create a pile of LEGO parts.
  14. Levitate the LEGO parts into a pull chain, dump the last ingredient into the cauldron. Drink the Strength Potion, pull the chain, then board the train when the door opens.
  15. Once on the train, follow the candy cart. Whenever it stops, levitate the candy on top of the cart into the hands of the sad students in order to get the cart moving again.
  16. At the last stop, the cart will drop a green key instead of candy. Pick it up and use it to unlock your room; enter it only if you are done exploring the train.
  17. After you enter the room, you will get a cutscene, and then the train becomes under siege by Dementors. You get a new sidekick, Prof. Lupin, who has the Patronus spell of which is the only way to take down Dementors.
  18. Exit your room and go left; kill the Dementor in your way with Patronus and enter the room it guards.
  19. Wreck the objects in the room, searching for a pick axe. When you find it, levitate it so that it destroys the ice blocking the room next door.
  20. Levitate the resulting parts into a cart, then levitate the boxes inside the room onto the cart. Shoot the cart after all this and it should race down the hall and smash open the exit to the next cart.
  21. In the next cart, make sure to kill any Dementor in your way as you progress. Enter the next room; make sure to shoot the Slytherin suitcases to keep them from biting you as well.
  22. Keep moving forward until you spot a tube with luggage blocking the entrance hole. Levitate the luggage aside and send Scabbers into it.
  23. Have Scabbers crawl out the other end into a locked room, knocking down some luggage and causing the door to the room to open. Explore the objects for a green key.
  24. Carry the green key to the end of the cart and use it to open the red box. Inside is a pick axe; levitate it to chip away the ice blocking the exit.
  25. The next cart has moonlight shining through the windows, of which Lupin will not pass through. First, have Hermione open the Magic Bookcase to release a pile of LEGO parts.
  26. Levitate the parts into a box, then levitate the box onto the purple pad and it should block the moonlight.
  27. Next, go forward and levitate the pick axe on the wall, destroying the ice on the rolled-up blinds on the floor. Now levitate the roll of blinds and manually attach them to the purple LEGO bits above the second window. The blinds should roll down and block the moonlight here as well.
  28. Now that there's no moonlight to stop him, have Lupin travel down the cart and kill the three Dementors there to end the level.

Collectibles

  1. House Crest #1: Look for five red-colored trunks on the train platform you can destroy.
  2. House Crest #2: Have a Digger interact on the Dig Point on the train's coal cart to unearth a box. Blow it open.
  3. House Crest #3: After moving the luggage that blocks the tube you send Scabbers into, use it to jump up to the crest floating above.
  4. House Crest #4: Shoot all five Slytherin trunks on the train; they are in plains sight.
  5. Gold Brick #1: Beat the level.
  6. Gold Brick #2: Get True Wizard at 60000 Studs.

Hogwarts Studies: Part Five

Contents


Riddikulus

  1. As always, follow that ghost. He will lead you to the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom.
  2. Inside, Prof. Lupin will instruct Hermione and Ron to shoot at the Boggarts that pop out of the wardrobes (their form changes depending on which character you are controlling: giant spiders for Ron and teachers bearing failing grades for Hermione).
  3. Once you've shot enough Boggart with Riddikulus using Ron and Hermione, you unlock it.
  4. Next exit the class and follow that ghost, as usual. He will lead you past a Boggart Trunk. You've probably seen these rattling trunks here are there; now that you have Riddikulus, a Boggart will always pop out of the Boggart Trunk (unless you are controlling a Muggle). Shoot the Boggart and he will drop a green key; use it to unlock the door the ghost leads you to.
  5. Enter into this previously unexplored room. Use Wingardum Leviosa on the hanging potted plants so that they clear all the vines out of the way. Follow Prof. Trelanwy into her classroom.

Divination

  1. The goal here is to get the giant teacups on the tea plates. Start by levitating the teacup by where the students sit.
  2. Next, have Hermione open the Magic Bookcase and levitate the resultant parts into a teacup.
  3. Finally, blast the objects near the Slytherin boys until you find the parts for the last teacup; levitate them into place.
  4. Exit the class afterward (no, you do not unlock any new ability for finishing it). Once more, follow the ghost, who will lead you into a new area by Hagrid's Hut.

Buckbeak Handling

  1. Hagrid asks you to fetch three drumsticks for his Hippogriff, Buckbeak. Start by running over to the dead tree guarded by Pixies.
  2. Levitate the nearby LEGO tree onto the purple platform near where the Pixies are spawning from. This will stop them from harassing you.
  3. Next, shoot the objects in front of the dead tree to move them aside, revealing a Dig Point.
  4. Now, in case you haven't noticed, Hermione as of Year 3 now has access to her cat Crookshanks, much like Ron has Scabbers. Crookshanks can dig on Dig Points; have Hermione use Crookshanks to take care of the Dig Point and reveal the first drumstick.
  5. Next, head into the culvert below the pond ahead. Seek out and destroy the wasp hive to reveal the second drumstick.
  6. Next, have Crookshanks dig on the Dig Point in the culvert to reveal a ladder leading into the pond. Levitate the lily pads to create steps leading to the central island holding the third drumstick.
  7. Once you've delivered three drumsticks to Hagrid's dinner plates, you will unlock "Buckbeak Handling", which mostly means access to Hagrid's Garden.

Slugulus Eructo

  1. After the last bit, you start outside Hagrid's Hut. You can access a sidequest right now in Hagrid's Garden for a gold brick; this sidequest is a bit complex and very glitched no less, so the details of it are listed here. To start, just go right back into Hagrid's Garden via the fence gate to start the next section.
  2. Ron is vomiting slugs after the next cutscene and must be cured. Start first by levitating the picnic blanket and then the picnic basket. This will dump a slew of LEGO parts you can rebuild into the container of a giant salt shaker.
  3. Wreck all the objects on the far right side of Hagrid's Garden. Levitate the remains into a grey piece (the top section of the salt shaker).
  4. Shoot the stack of pumpkins until they all explode, and result in a flower stem appearing. Now levitate the empty pot nearby, then the water pump, then the now-full pot to water the plant. Destroy the plant and levitate the remains to create the salt shaker's base.
  5. Levitate the sections of the salt shaker into place. If done correctly, you'll get a cutscene, then be back in the covered bridge west of Hagrid's Hut. Go back to Hagrid's Garden and you should automatically get a gold break. Ron may or may not still be puking slugs and/or you may see the cutscene from before play again, but matters not as long as you have the brick.
  6. TIP: After beating this sidequest, the Slugulus Eructo spell will be for sale in the Wiseacre's Wizarding Emporium in The Leaky Cauldron hub.

Passage to Hogsmeade

  1. When your ready, you can start the next quest by heading to the courtyard. You will get a cutscene, and then the Weasley Twins will replace Ron and Hermione as your teammates.
  2. TIP: If you haven't already, go into the Clock Tower by destroying the Boggart Trunk in the area around the fountain and using the key to unlock the door. Inside, solve the puzzle for Red Brick #5 to unlock "Score x2" for purchase in Eelops' Owl Emporium in The Leaky Cauldron hub. This single bonus will see to it that you get True Wizard on every level easily (turn it on by pausing and going into the Extras menu).
  3. Lead the group to the area outside the Great Hall. Go left towards the gold shutters and the wizard statue here will move out of the way for you. If you haven't opened the gold shutters yet, do so by sending Hermione's cat into the tube (use the Polyjuice Potion in the room if you need to change into her) Inside the tube, knock the knight's helmet down, then levitate the gold knight to completion, who will then open the gold shutters.

Hogsmeade

Walkthrough

  1. Walk to the right and Lumos the vines out of the way.
  2. Levitate the platform onto the purple pillar so that it snaps into place. Jump onto the platform and levitate a second one from the cliff ahead onto the pillar in front of you.
  3. Jump onto the second platform and levitate the first platform so that it floats over the cliff and snaps into place on the pillar to the right of it.
  4. Jump onto the cliff and levitate the second platform so that it snaps onto the pillar furthest right.
  5. Now that you've crossed the chasm, levitate the 1000 KG weight so that it snaps onto the purple hook on the drawbridge; it will pull it down and allow the group to cross.
  6. Next, levitate the torches ahead and guide them into the vines above, knocking down some platforms. Use those platforms to cross the next gap.
  7. Ahead, have one of the twins take out the Boggart Trunk, then levitate the lever by the tops of the red shutters. This will open up a shelf holding a portrait holding flowers, a cake, and a picture, as well as three odd faces: one with a giant nose, one with a giant mouth, and one with giant eyes.
  8. In front of each face is a purple pedestal. Levitate the objects on the shelf onto each pedestal in this arrangement: flowers for the face with the big nose, cake for the face with the big mouth, and a picture for the face with the big eyes. This will open the way forward to a ladder leading to the next area.
  9. The group will surface into a gift shop. Levitate the purple box on the shelves onto the purple scale dish, opening the way out.
  10. Once onto the snowy street, go north and you'll see a snowman blocking your path. Levitate the torch that the wizard drops in the cutscene and melt the LEGO-made snowbank nearby. Levitate the uncovered wood to create a bonfire that takes out the snowman.
  11. Past the snowman is a fork; go right to start a boss fight against Draco.
  12. Draco is simple; levitate the snowballs he throws back into him. Eventually he will create a "snow cannon", however, the principle is still the same: levitate the projectiles back into him.
  13. After defeating Draco and watching the cutscene, you'll be outside the Three Broomsticks pub. A giant snowball contain Draco and his crew blocks the entrance.
  14. You need to levitate three brooms into the snowball to get it out of the way. You will need to ride one of the brooms over the snowball in order to levitate it first.
  15. After levitating all three brooms into the snowball, it will roll out of the way, allowing you access to the Three Broomsticks. Enter it to end the level.

Collectibles

  1. House Crest #1: Shoot all 10 spider webs located around the level. These actually CAN be a bit tricky to spot; you should have five before crossing the 1000 KG weight bridge (including one sneaky one hidden way below the bridge), and the rest before climbing the ladder to the next section.
  2. House Crest #2: After exiting the candy shop, search the street outside for three brown owls. Shoot all three and they will open some windows that dump out LEGO parts. Levitate all the parts into a snowman, then shoot the snowman.
  3. House Crest #3: After taking out the giant snowman Draco brings to life, keep going up and do NOT go right to the next area. Ahead is a Dig Point; have a Digger handle it and then ride the giant snowball that appears down the hill into three bowling pins.
  4. House Crest #4: After moving aside the giant snowball holding Draco and his crew, have a Superstrength character yank the pull chain next to where the giant snowball lands, adding one final humiliation to Draco and co. and giving you a crest.
  5. Gold Brick #1: Beat the level.
  6. Gold Brick #2: Get True Wizard at 49000 Studs.
  7. Gold Brick #3: Find all four House Crests.
  8. Gold Brick #4: Rescue the Student in Peril.
  9. Student in Peril: Shoot the snowman at the bottom of the incline of the street going west of the Three Broomsticks.
  10. Crabbe (Sweater): Blow up the black ball in the first area with Crucio.
  11. Goyle (Sweater): Blow open the steel bolt-locked glass case in the candy shoppe using Reducto.
  12. Draco (Sweater): At the final area, shoot the red wizard holding the unlockable. He teleports to the other side of the area; shoot him again and he will teleport next to a pot locked with a steel bolt. Blow it open with Reducto and the snake that pops out will make him drop it.

Mischief Managed

Walkthrough

  1. To get started with this one, follow the ghost into the Gryffindor Common Lounge. After the cutscene, Ron and Harry will begin the next level.
  2. You need to find a red and yellow key and insert them into the colored keyholes using levitation. Start by using Lumos to make the vines on the ceiling drop the red key.
  3. Shoot the dresser to the left to get the yellow key. Levitate the keys into their respective keyholes, then have both Ron and Harry turn the keys at the same time using Wingardum Leviosa. This will open up the exit.
  4. Travel down through the dark hall into a small courtyard. You need to get three ingredients again; start by shooting the rolled-up banner on the wall in the upper-left corner, making it drop the ingredient.
  5. Next, go to the upper-right corner of the room. Kill the Pixie to get it to drop the giant mallet and then shoot the trunk nearby to make a snake pop out. Levitate the mallet into the snake's head to KO it and take the ingredient it drops.
  6. Finally, observe the red, blue, and green blocks in the center of the room. Stack the blocks on top of the purple pad in this order: green at the bottom, then red, then blue at the top. This will open a pit in the floor holding a pull chain and a skeleton. Shoot the skeleton and take his ingredient.
  7. Dump all the ingredients into the cauldron to make a Strength Potion, then yank the pull chain to make a boulder appear. Levitate the boulder onto the nearby column to open the exit outside.
  8. Outside on the castle parapet, you'll need to get three more ingredients again, this time to make your first Invisibility Potion. Start by smashing all the plants and objects near the start until you find the first ingredient.
  9. Next, have Ron take care of the Boggart Trunk, then Harry take care of the Interaction Point by the snake using his Parseltongue. A pile of LEGO parts will appear; levitate them into a balcony that lets you reach the "red spider" ingredient.
  10. Go right afterward and wreck the objects by the fountain. Levitate the remains into a big red valve handle, then levitate that to create a gush of water that makes some plants grow upwards.
  11. Use the plant to bounce up to the parapet. Filch will be wandering around up there. Unlike before, you can't shoot him to make him let go of your partner if he grabs him; you need to shoot his cat instead to force him to let the other go. Alternatively, Harry can use the Invisibility Cloak for now.
  12. Slip past Filch and jump into the open window. Grab the "drumstick ingredient" off of the dinner table, then feed it and any other ingredient into the cauldron to make an Invisibility Potion.
  13. Have Ron and Harry drink it; they should both now be invisible and can use their magic at the same time (unlike the Invisibility Cloak). Have them slip past Filch and then both levitate the hanging objects until they snap into position, opening the exit to the final section.
  14. For the final section, just walk down the hall, searching for two trunks. Blast them open, then levitate the remains into a violin. A wizard in one of the portraits will drop a green key you can use to open the exit to this level.

Collectibles

  1. House Crest #1: Shoot all 5 gold knights in the first section; easy to spot, and you should have all five in the room with the second major puzzle.
  2. House Crest #2: After solving the second major puzzle where you levitate the rock onto the pillar, the pillar next it drops a black rock; destroy that rock with Crucio.
  3. House Crest #3: In the area where Filch is patrolling, blast open the window boarded up with black wood using Crucio.
  4. House Crest #4: In the final section, have a Slytherin character interact with the painting of the Slytherin prefect.
  5. Gold Brick #1: Beat the level.
  6. Gold Brick #2: Get True Wizard at 50000 Studs
  7. Gold Brick #3: Find all four House Crests.

  9. Student in Peril: In the area where Filch is patrolling, blast open the window locked with a steel bolt with Reducto.
  10. George (Sweater): In the room with the second major puzzle, have Hermione open the Magic Bookcase in the lower-left corner of the room.
  11. Fred (Sweater): Hidden behind the dinner table that holds the drumstick ingredient.
  12. The Grey Lady: In the same room that holds the Student in Peril.

Hogwarts Studies: Part Six

Expecto Patronum

  1. Back at Hogwarts, follow the ghost as usual. This time he will lead you to a new classroom to the left of the Defense against the Dark Arts classroom.
  2. Inside, Prof. Lupin will grant Harry his own Patronus spell. Shoot the locked boxes in the room and kill the Dementors that pop out to unlock it for good.
  3. Note that you'll have to work to get a couple of the boxes. One requires that you kill a Pixie carrying it. Another requires that you shoot open a cupboard for LEGO pieces, levitate the pieces into a projector, then shoot the image it projects to get it to drop a box.
  4. Once you've unlocked Patronus, exit the classroom and follow the ghost to Hagrid's Hut, entering the hut itself to start the next level. If you wish, you can kill the Dementors wandering around outside, but you get nothing for it save for applause from the students.

The Shrieking Shack

Walkthrough

  1. You start this level in a boss battle with the Whomping Willow. The willow will pound the ground with its "fists" but doesn't seem to be aiming for Harry and Hermione directly, but rather swinging about in a pattern.
  2. Simply wait for the willow to stop bashing the ground and slam down a giant, circular wood fist; it should stay motionless after doing so. You can then hop into the fist like a vehicle; when you do, mash X to fire spells at the tree until you damage it.
  3. Repeat this a few times and the tree will go down. Enter the secret passage that appears into an underground tunnel.
  4. Walk forward into the tunnel, using Lumos to turn the vines ahead into a bridge.
  5. Past the vine bridge is a chasm. Drop down and shoot at the brown vines below until a green seed pod is able to roll out of the crack above.
  6. Shoot the red flower near where the seed pod lands to make a series of steps that will lead you out of the pit.
  7. Keep going forward and you will encounter web platforms going up and down. Ride the first one up to a niche on your left. Levitate the object there to move aside a set of vines blocking the exit.
  8. Cross the web platforms and at the fourth one, ride it down. Levitate the object there to move another set of vines blocking the exit.
  9. Ride the web platform up and shoot the pink and purple balls on the ceiling. Levitate them into the matching color water holes to plug them up. This will make the geyser next to you vault the platform on it high into the air.
  10. Ride the platform on the geyser up to the niche above. Levitate the object there to move the last set of vines blocking the way out. Take the exit.
  11. After the cutscene, you'll be controlling Sirius and Lupin. The goal is to catch Scabbers, which is simple enough. Just observer the furniture in the room and when you see one bouncing up and down, shoot it. For the piano, you will need to make a jump shot into the piano strings.
  12. After shooing Scabbers from all the furniture in the room, the various giant LEGO pieces that fell from the ceiling after shooting each one will dance bout. Levitate it all to create a giant mousetrap that will catch Scabbers. A cutscene will play and you are back to using Harry and Hermione.
  13. Make your way down into the ditch from the start of this area. Levitate the gray LEGOs there into a ball. Shoot the ball and it will drop some giant LEGO blocks you can use to climb onto the nearby cliff.
  14. Keep going right. Have Hermione use Crookshanks to dig in the Dig Point and unearth a cauldron. Three ingredients are needed again; start by shooting the head of the giant snake in the cliff wall and taking the ingredient it drops.
  15. Next, search the area for three seed pods and levitate them. One of them will turn into a flower that will give you an ingredient.
  16. Finally, shoot the spider web and it will drop some bones. Levitate them into a skeleton and take the ingredient it drops. Feed them all into the cauldron for a Strength Potion.
  17. Get some superstrength and yank the nearby pull chain. Have Hermione climb up the newly-created steps and order Crookshanks to dig on the Dig Point, revealing some forest creatures that will create a ladder to the next section.
  18. In the next section, just levitate the red LEGO parts into a mushroom cap. Bounce on the cap towards Sirius and Lupin to end the level.

Collectibles

  1. House Crest #1: Have a Digger handle the Dig Points next to the Whomping Willow; one will have a black chest you can blow up with Crucio to receive this.
  2. House Crest #2: Shoot all 5 yellow LEGO flowers in the underground tunnel; easy to spot.
  3. House Crest #3: In the third section, dig up the Dig Point near where you start to reveal a glass box, then look for a Mandrake just after the bit with the giant LEGO blocks. You can then blow open the Wardrobe by the Dig Point that creates the forest creatures with Reducto to get earmuffs (or just use a Deaf character) and then pick up the Mandrake and carry it to the glass box, destroying it to reveal the crest.
  4. House Crest #4: In the third section, there are 5 large, black chunks of crystal you can blow up with Crucio; destroy all five for the crest.
  5. Gold Brick #1: Beat the level.
  6. Gold Brick #2: Get True Wizard at 22000 Studs
  7. Gold Brick #3: Find all four House Crests.
  8. Gold Brick #4: Rescue the Student in Peril.
  9. Student in Peril: Can't miss him; he's trapped in a spider's web just past the ladder by the Strength Potion where the spider swarm can from.
  10. Witch (Grey): Have a Digger handle the Dig Points next to the Whomping Willow; a second black chest will be found, and you can blow up with Crucio.
  11. Peter Pettigrew: During the scene where you catch Scabbers/Peter Pettigrew, look for a black safe near Harry and co. you can blow up with Crucio.
  12. Hermione (Red Hooded Top): The chest holding this is right next to where you start the final section. Simply shoot it open with Reducto.

The Dementor's Kiss

Walkthrough

  1. You can start this right away by having Ron and Hermione follow Madam Pomfrey into the medical ward at Hogwarts. The level will begin after the cutscene.
  2. Your first goal is to free Buckbeak, who is chained up. Start by wrecking every plant in sight until you find a snake head poking out of the ground. Shoot it and it should knock over a barrel holding a fish.
  3. Levitate the fish and Buckbeak will wreck some objects for you. Levitate the wreckage into a barbecue grill, then levitate the drumstick on the grill towards Buckbeak.
  4. Finally, levitate the hatchet revealed by Buckbeak into cutting his chains. A cutscene will play and you'll end up in the Forbidden Forest.
  5. Go right and jump into the ditch. Kill the Pixies and levitate the disks they were carrying into a raincloud that will fill up the ditch with water, inviting the frogs to hop in.
  6. Use the frogs to reach the lily pad and reach the upper area. Shoot the hook on the tree so that it pulls out a gold chest. Shoot the chest for a gold record.
  7. Carry the gold record to the left. Use Lumos to move aside the vines so that it drops a pile of LEGO parts, then drop down to them carrying the gold record.
  8. Levitate the brown parts into a record player, then use the gold record on it to get a cutscene and start the next section.
  9. Ignore the Dementors crowding around past Harry and go right and up the cliff. Shoot the colored branches and levitate them to create a bridge.
  10. Cross the "bridge" and smash and levitate stuff until you send a snowball rolling down the hills that crashes into the glacier below.
  11. Now that you have the attention of the Dementors, kill them one by one with Patronus to end the level.

Collectibles

  1. House Crest #1: Blow up the steel cage holding the green bird in the first section with Reducto.
  2. House Crest #2: In the section where you find the gold record for the gramophone, before putting that record in, look for two black records and put them in instead. One is right by where the gramophone is assembled, the other is in a Dig Point.
  3. House Crest #3: In the section where you find the gold record for the gramophone, make the water rise in the culvert below the pond, then hop on a frog and guide it through the two green "lampposts" in the water. They will alight and make two more appear; sail the frog through all the pairs of lampposts and the crest will eventually appear.
  4. House Crest #4: In the final section with all the Dementors, knock down the boulder but don't fight the Dementors yet. Instead, levitate the LEGO bits the smashed boulder left behind into a couple steps you can use to climb up the cliff. Look for another branch you can ride by having a partner levitate it with you on it, and ride it up to a cliff with three black crystals. Blow them all up with Crucio and one will drop the crest.
  5. Gold Brick #1: Beat the level.
  6. Gold Brick #2: Get True Wizard at 60000 Studs.
  7. Gold Brick #3: Find all four House Crest.
  8. Gold Brick #4: Rescue the Student in Peril.
  9. Student in Peril: After rescuing Buckbeak and starting the next section, go straight left and shoot the giant wasp attacking the Student.
  10. Professor Lupin: In the section where you find the gold record for the gramophone, look for a chest with a steel lock to the right of the pond and blast it open with Reducto.
  11. Cornelius Fudge: In the final section with all the Dementors, blow down the steel leaves to the right of the ice pond to reveal a snake; have a Parseltongue character talk to it to get the unlockable.
  12. Macnair: Right next to where you get the last House Crest in the final section, also in a black crystal you must destroy with Crucio.

The Dark Tower

Walkthrough

  1. Look out for rampaging Dementors throughout this level; shoot them down with Harry's Patronus whenever you see one coming.
  2. March along the parapet to find an ice roadblock. Levitate the pick axe and guide it along the ice to destroy it, then use Lumos on the vines to clear the way.
  3. Run to the end of the parapet and levitate the bucket of water to grow some plants. Use the spinning flowers on the plants to bounce to the second area.
  4. Shoot the statue to melt one half of the ice that is sealing the exit door. Bust open the chest nearby and levitate the parts into another statue. Shoot it and the ice will be fully melted, opening the exit.
  5. Be careful of falling in the next area. Run forward and jump along the rafters along the right-hand path. Levitate the gray platform there to the other side onto the purple LEGO, snapping it in place.
  6. Go back and choose the left-hand path. Jump across the platform you moved to a torch. Levitate it and guide it into a web of vines to take them out, making them drop a platform.
  7. Go back and choose the right-hand path again. Kill the Pixie in your way and jump along the platforms to another gray platform. Levitate it to the left and snap it onto another purple LEGO.
  8. Go back and choose the left-hand path. Use the platform you moved to reach a pile of wood; levitate it to create a bridge on the right-hand path that leads to the exit door.
  9. Make your way to the exit; move the lumber out of the way and continue forward.
  10. You're back outside again. Dementors will stalk you all over the place here; make sure to fire Patronus while on the run as that is MUCH quicker than Harry's slow-ass lob when he fires it from a standing point. You need to get three ingredients, once again.
  11. From the entrance, go north and shoot the potted plants. A snake will pop out, jump and shoot him in the head, and take the fang ingredient he drops.
  12. Go right from him towards a tree. Levitate the barrel next to it to make it drop a hatchet, then levitate the hatchet into the tree branch holding the next ingredient.
  13. Finally, jump down the ladder and levitate the purple gargoyle. Guide it into the purple pipe above and make it snap onto it. It should swing down and smash open the window; go inside and grab the ingredient.
  14. The cauldron is south of the pull chain. Levitate it to bring it down, then make the Strength Potion and yank the pull chain to lower the drawbridge to the final battle.
  15. You're going up against some sort of Super Dementor here. He can summon a mob of Dementors and has a deadly vortex-suction attack that pulls Harry and Hermione towards him for a one-hit kill.
  16. The trick is to levitate the brown garbage cans. They drop an endless amount of garbage. When Super Dementor tries to his suction attack, he'll end up sucking the garbage into his face, stunning him; you can them blast him with Harry's Patronus for damage.
  17. Keep dumping garbage out and blast any Dementors approaching you with a running shot from Harry's Patronus. Later on, he tries casting an AOE Glacius spell as a counter for killing his Dementors; to avoid it, jump on the garbage cans. To unfreeze the garbage cans afterward, shoot the statues next to them.

Collectibles

  1. House Crest #1: In the first area are five frozen lamps on the parapet; use Wingardum Leviosa to unfreeze them, then shoot them to make them spin. Do this for all five.
  2. House Crest #2: Have Griphook open the safe by the exit from the second section.
  3. House Crest #3: Once you smash the window open using the purple gargoyle, go inside and hug the wall to the right searching until you find it.
  4. House Crest #4: Destroy all the steel gargoyles in the final section of the level with Reducto. There's one above the door from where you enter the area, two near the purple gargoyle, two flanking the drawbridge, and one right before the boss.
  5. Gold Brick #1: Beat the level.
  6. Gold Brick #2: Get True Wizard at 70000 Studs.
  7. Gold Brick #3: Find all four House Crests.
  8. Gold Brick #4: Rescue the Student in Peril.
  9. Student in Peril: Under attack from a Dementor in the first section; shoot through the side door with the steel lock left of the fountain using Reducto to get down to his area, and kill the Dementor to save him.
  10. James Potter (Ghost): Right next to the Student in Peril; can't miss it if you go down to save him.
  11. Lily Potter (Ghost): In a chest locked with a steel bolt in plain sight in the second section; blow it open with Reducto.
  12. Sirius Black: In the room where you enter through the window by smashing it with the purple gargoyle is a black safe; nuke it with Crucio.

The Quidditch World Cup

Walkthrough

  1. After the cutscene, you'll be in the middle of the "action"; by that I mean that the Death Eaters running around the level are harmless, and you need instead explore this free roam-ish level and find and rescue Ron, Fred, George, and Arthur.
  2. Go right from where you start and you should find George. Shoot the flying things pestering him to save him.
  3. Go north and you will find a KO'd Ron underneath a table getting literally hammered by two mallets. Fight off the Death Eater and levitate the table up to free Ron.
  4. Go right around the central tents. You need to enter them from the left-hand side, but it's blocked by a crazed red book that will one-hit kill anything coming near it. Instead, keep going right to find Arthur.
  5. Shoot the Death Eater so that he teleports to Arthur's left, then levitate the nearby frying pan to knock him out and save Arthur.
  6. Surrounding Arthur are three ingredients. Grab the first one (a drumstick) from the barbecue grill; you'll need to shoot the grill first before you can grab it.
  7. Pop the spider webs nearby to get a "red spider" ingredient, then use the Dig Point nearby to make a big cherry bush. Shoot it apart to get an ingredient.
  8. Put all the ingredients in the nearby cauldron to make an Invisibility Potion, then drink it. Run up to the crazed red book and kill it by pressing Y when close.
  9. Levitate the car next to the book out of the way and head left into the central camp. Levitate the yellow-ish tent bouncing up and down to rescue Fred and end this section.
  10. After this, you'll be in the camp ruins. Start by shooting down the white-and-black banner, then levitating the remains into a trampoline to bounce over the fire with.
  11. Shoot the keg on the other side of the fire to put it out and allow the rest of the group to follow you.
  12. Go north from the keg to a wood block. Levitate it until a barrel pops out; use it to put out the nearby fire and reveal a Dig Point. Dig it up to reveal a wheel.
  13. Grab the wheel and use it on the nearby wagon to move it aside. Walk forward and shoot the chest nearby open to make a hatchet fall out. Levitate the hatchet to have it knock down an obstructing sign.
  14. Go up the path the sign was obstructing and follow the bend to a pile of junk. Wreck the objects there to reveal a dancing skeleton; take the ingredient he drops and head back to where you knocked down the sign.
  15. Go right from where you knocked the sign down and look for an overturned cauldron to levitate. Dump your ingredient in it, then kill the Pixie nearby to make it drop a spigot.
  16. Use the spigot the Pixie drops onto the nearby keg, then levitate the filled water barrel onto the fire pit to put it out and get another ingredient. The last ingredient is just south of the fire pit, buried under junk next to the locked chest.
  17. With all the ingredients in place, drink the Strength Potion from the cauldron and yank the pull chain nearby to open access to a boss battle of sorts.
  18. The goal here is to simply defeat the three waves of enemies. Just shoot the Death Eaters as they appear while dodging their attacks as well as the green blobs of light being thrown at you by the figure in the background. The green blobs of light will turn into snakes when they hit the ground; you must destroy these as well to defeat each wave of enemies. If a snake grabs your character, you will need your partner to shoot the snake off to rescue you.

Collectibles

  1. House Crest #1: Throughout the first section, there are 8 fires; put them all out by levitating the nearby water pail. You must do this before rescuing all of the Weasleys.
  2. House Crest #2: Go north from the red killer book to find a tent sealed with black metal; destroy the metal with Crucio.
  3. House Crest #3: From where you use the hatchet to knock down the sign in the section part of this level, go south and look for a big pile of steel objects you can blow up to reveal a Dig Point. Dig it up to reveal a painting of a Ravenclaw Prefect; have someone from Ravenclaw get the crest from it.
  4. House Crest #4: In the second section, there are five wizards in peril; rescue them all. They are easy to spot (listen for their cries) and the puzzles for rescuing them are all basic save for one that is hiding under some crates you must shoot right next to where you find House Crest #3.
  5. Gold Brick #1: Beat the level.
  6. Gold Brick #2: Get True Wizard at 90000 Studs
  7. Gold Brick #3: Find all four House Crests.
  8. Gold Brick #4: Rescue the Student in Peril.
  9. Student in Peril: Walk a few steps to the right from where you start and shoot the steel lock of the outhouse you find there.
  10. Ginny (Hooded Top): In the second section, after using the keg to put out the fire you bounce over with the trampoline, go straight south from the keg and shoot the lumber and crates in the dead-end you find down there.
  11. Death Eater: Go south from the red killer book and look for a black ball near the exploding fireworks you can blow up with Crucio.
  12. Barty Crouch Jr.: This is one of the earliest Dark Magic users you can get in the game other than Tom Riddle. Simply shoot the steel lock on the chest next to the mushroom ingredient using Reducto.

Hogwarts Studies: Part Seven

Aging Potion

  1. Follow that ghost yet again; he'll lead you into Snape's classroom where you must get three ingredients.
  2. Start by levitating open the sealed wall by the exit, as usual. Levitate the parts there into a chemistry set, then levitate the colored beakers in this order: red, blue, yellow, blue, yellow, red. All of this should make a purple ball (shoot it), a green cylinder (watch it explode), and the ingredient, an orange snake.
  3. Next, find a big trunk and shoot it to make a pressure pad fall out. Carry it to the pumps and set it in place, then have two characters stand on a pad each and wait until the next ingredient is spat out of the center tube.
  4. Finally, send Hermione's cat into the network of tubes. Have it push the weight there to free the gold bird. Shoot it when it lands, then levitate the resulting drumsticks into the fish tank, then levitate the ingredient they drop out of the fish tank.
  5. The Aging Potion grants you the ability to walk through Age Lines. For now, though, follow the ghost and head to the Great Hall to get a cutscene, then head to Hagrid's Hut for another one and the next level.

Dragons

Walkthrough

  1. Start by shooting the pile of balls up, then levitating the exposed purple ball out of the pile onto the purple platform above you.
  2. The purple ball will roll through the tube; whenever it gets stuck, levitate it through the tube. Once it rolls through the tube to the other end, it will hatch and distract the fire-breathing dragon.
  3. Press forward; smash and levitate the stuff at the dead-end to make a pull chain for Hagrid to yank and drop a bridge.
  4. Head forward and use Lumos to clear out the vines, then levitate the dropped parts into a mushroom. Use it to bounce up to the cliff where you can levitate the parts into another pull chain for Hagrid to use to make the next bridge.
  5. Another dragon puzzle ahead. First, levitate the rolled-up thing to reveal a xylophone. Levitate the mallet, and the dragon will tell you which order to bop the keys in. Do so; after bopping three correct sequences in a row, he'll let you pass.
  6. Dodge the flame jets and pits during the section ahead. Head to the water tank, levitate the wood bucket into it, and use it to put out the fires (hold the bucket over the fire until you hear the fire fizzle out).
  7. Use the burned lumber you find from putting out the fires to make steps leading to the next dragon. Levitate the purple hooplet and position it behind the chain hooks. The dragon will aim its fire at the hooplet, striking the chain hooks instead and eventually destroying them, opening the way to the next section.
  8. Use the giant LEGO blocks in the next section to cross the gap and enter a new area. Levitate the chains on the ground in the next area into position, then follow the dragon handler to the next area.
  9. Ahead in the next area, have Fang use the Dig Point to make a ladder leading down. Send Hagrid and Fang down it and have Hagrid pull the chain there. Harry should stay on the top level and use his Invisibility Cloak to slip past the dragon's tail.
  10. Ahead, have Harry and Hagrid levitate obstacles out of each other's way. Keep moving right and you should spot a Dig Point.
  11. Have Fang take care of the Dig Point, then have Hagrid levitate the chain he reveals, then have Harry shoot the blue disk on his end of the chain. Once that's done, the level exit will open.

Collectibles

  1. House Crest #1: Throughout the first section, there are 9 LEGO lamps; shoot them all. They tend to blend in very well with the non-LEGO lamps that are actually a part of the background, so look carefully.
  2. House Crest #2: After putting the green dragon to sleep using the xylophone, bop the yellow key over and over using the mallet until the crest pops out.
  3. House Crest #3: After getting past the blue dragon using the purple hoop, you'll spot a chained skeleton emitting red sparks, right next to where the gate was lowered. Take it apart with Crucio, then levitate it back together again to make it fish the crest out of the water tank.
  4. House Crest #4: Near the very end of the first section is a LEGO tree and a crate with steel locks on it at the top of the box pile. Jump and shoot Reducto at the locks to destroy them, then levitate the crate, and then the parts that fall out. The resulting mini-dragon will destroy the tree and reveal the crest.
  5. Gold Brick #1: Beat the level.
  6. Gold Brick #2: Get True Wizard at 52000 Studs
  7. Gold Brick #3: Find all four House Crests.
  8. Gold Brick #4: Rescue the Student in Peril.
  9. Student in Peril: In the second section, simply open the safe near the chains using Griphook.
  10. Durmstrang Student: After getting past the second gantlet involving the blue flame jets, blow up the nearby black safe with Crucio.
  11. Cedric (Sweater): Open the safe near the end of the first section with Griphook.
  12. Dragon Handler: Almost immediately after starting the second section, you'll see the chest with the steel lock right next to you; destroy the steel lock with Reducto.

Hogwarts Studies: Part Eight

Reducto

  1. You'll FINALLY learn this spell, which will allow you to wreck the steel objects that have been taunting you all game. Follow the ghost to Mad Eye Moody's classroom west of the Defense against the Dark Arts classroom.
  2. Inside, shoot the five steel pieces pinning the hapless students on the ground to unlock this valuable spell for good.
  3. TIP: Now that you have Reducto, you can get access two more abilities, Dark Magic and Keymaster, that will let you unlock everything in the game. For Keymaster, replay the level "The Magic Begins" in Free Play and look for a steel-bolt locked chest in the Gringotts vault area and blow it up with Reducto to unlock Griphook. Next, replay the level "The Basilisk" in Free Play and in the Basilisk's arena, have Griphook open the safe there to unlock Tom Riddle.
  4. When ready, follow the ghost to the newly-erected tent outside Hagrid's Hut.

The First Task

Walkthrough

  1. The dragon in the distance is going to be shelling you throughout the level, so keep an eye out for any incoming projectiles and be aware that he can destroy most any cover you hide behind. Start by running to the right, smashing all in your way.
  2. At the end of the gantlet is a row of rocks blocking your way; smash up stuff until you have enough pieces to levitate into a dog; the result sequence will see the dragon smash the rocks currently blocking your way.
  3. Keep moving forward and bash all in your path. Look for ingredients as you do so; for one of them, you will need to levitate a pile of bones into a dancing skeleton that will drop an ingredient.
  4. Eventually you will reach a dead-end with a cliff leading up. Don't climb the cliff yet; instead, levitate the purple rock into the geyser hole with the purple LEGO bits. This will create a platform you can ride to the cliff with the pull chain as well as reveal more LEGO pieces; levitate those pieces into a cauldron.
  5. Feed the cauldron the three ingredients to make a Strength Potion, then ride the purple rock to the ledge with the pull chain and yank it to clear out the dragon.
  6. Carefully hop across the islands ahead to the next section. Up ahead, hop along the small cliffs, waiting for the fires the dragon starts to peeter out before jumping.
  7. At the end of the line is a trio of purple pedestals; you need three giant LEGO brick "pillars" and arrange them in an order that lets you leap to the cliff above. One is in the Dig Point nearby, another held by a Pixie, and the last needs to be rebuilt from the chucks of LEGO you create by wrecking the green crystal.
  8. Jump to the Golden Egg using the giant LEGOs and you will get a cutscene and be transported to a new area. The goal here is simple; run like crazy from the dragon until the level ends, similar to the Aragog chase sequence in Year 2.

Collectibles

  1. House Crest #1: During the first challenge of this level, where you must dodge the dragon's fireballs as you move right, hide behind the brown rock spires. The dragon will destroy them with his tail when you do, reducing them to black rock; destroy the black rock with Crucio, and do this for all three rock spires.
  2. House Crest #2: As you progress through the first half of this level, the audience will throw three gold-and-brown rocks into your path; destroy them with Crucio. You really can't miss these.

Secret of the Egg

Walkthrough

  1. Back at Hogwarts, follow the ghost to the covered bridge for a cutscene, then follow the ghost all the way back to the Haunted Bathroom hallway. Follow him to a door Myrtle is standing in front of, which leads to the next level.
  2. You start inside a bathroom. You need to get four green seashells and carry them to the four green pedestals on the central fountain. One of them is in plain sight right next to it.
  3. For the second seashell, shoot the lockers by the portrait near the toilets; one will drop an umbrella. Shoot it, then levitate it into the painting.
  4. For the third, shoot the sinks that have their faucets on.
  5. For the fourth, levitate the barrel near the Boggart Trunk to make it spill out some LEGOs, then levitate those into a toilet lid for one of the flooding toilets. Have Harry and Myrtle levitate the two toilet lids at the same time to make the last one appear.
  6. Drop down the hole that now appears in the central fountain to end up in the Prefect's Bathroom. To begin, start by levitate the broom in front of the stain-glass window of the mermaid. Move it up and down the window until all the panes on it light up.
  7. The mermaid starts hurling lobsters at you. Keep shooting the lobsters until enough LEGOs are left behind to levitate into a rain cloud. The rain cloud will restore the mermaid, who will grant you a purple valve handle.
  8. Levitate the handle onto the purple stem near the fountain, then levitate the handle until you a get a cutscene and the end of the level.

  1. House Crest #1: In the first bathroom area, shoot the four wall-mounted cupboards.

The Black Lake

Walkthrough

  1. Back at Hogwarts, follow the ghost all the way to the next area: the Black Lake. If you haven't already, you'll need to use Reducto to blast the steel gate open by Hagrid's Hut. At the Black Lake area, go all the way down to the bottom and follow Mad Eye Moody through the gate to start the "Black Lake" level itself.
  2. The level is unique in that it's underwater. However, it's really in 2D; all Harry and Cedric can do is swim up, down, left, and right, and not in the Z-axis unlike regular levels. Auto-targeting for your attack spells will NOT work for objects to far into the foreground or background, and auto-targeting for Wingardium Leviosa rarely works either; you must instead use the cursor to aim at objects and hold X to destroy/levitate them.
  3. Follow the trail of studs to a blue "warp pipe"; enter it to warp to another section.
  4. Swim right from the warp pipe, shooting the terrain until you uncover a second warp pipe. Swim past it for now though.
  5. At the end of the line is a giant kraken, which will appear and block your way. Have on partner stay put while the other goes back and take the second warp pipe, then swim to the right once on the other side.
  6. Have the two partners levitate the tentacles of the kraken on their respective sides. The kraken will be defeated and both will be able to continue.
  7. Swim right past where the kraken left; the two partners will rejoin soon via warp pipe ahead. Keep swimming until you hit another dead-end.
  8. At the dead-end, swim up and levitate the two LEGO pieces there into one giant LEGO fish to open up the exit.
  9. In the next area, the two partners will split up again, one going above and the other below, working together to solve puzzles that block both their paths.
  10. To start, the swimmer on the bottom will need to levitate the web of kelp out of his way, then levitate the giant crab onto the bubble jet, all to left the swimmer on top move forward.
  11. The swimmer on top will then need to shoot the eye of the kraken ahead, whom will retaliate by squirting out ink into the tunnel ahead. Use Lumos to clear out the ink, and search the upper-right tunnel dead-end for a pearl.
  12. Carry the pearl to the giant clam below and feed it to him; he will move out of the way, allowing access to the final section.
  13. In the final section, first, turn on Lumos, then swim straight down towards the end of the chain to below. The tentacles there will move aside, revealing an anchor. Shoot it, then shoot the ballast ball on the chain in the distance.
  14. Smash up stuff on the sea floor to reveal a warp pipe. Ignore it for now though, and swim right until you find another anchor you can levitate, then shoot the ballast ball that appears as well.
  15. Now take the warp pipe to another area. Watch out for mermaids as you search for a purple ball you can levitate onto the scale, revealing another anchor and another ballast ball you can shoot. This will end the level.

Collectibles

  1. House Crest #1: Throughout the entire level, there are these six bizarre giant white beachball-headed things. They will appear in pairs, 3 total, after you levitate small eels trapped under rocks and other objects. When each pair appears, you can shoot the strange creatures as they eat the eels to make them inflate; shoot all six total to get the crest. The first pair can be found after taking the first warp pipe, then swimming to the left, looking for eels. After you first defeat the kraken, hug the sea floor until you find a deep pit you can swim down into for two more eels. The last two eels appear after destroying the anchors in the final section.
  2. House Crest #2: Throughout the first section of this level, there are nine green seashells you must find and shoot for the crest. These are damn hard to spot, especially the ones that can't be auto-targeted. You may want to break out the Hogwarts Crest Detector Red Brick for this one.
  3. House Crest #3: Clear out all the black ink the kraken squirts out using Lumos, until there is none left. It will then appear.
  4. House Crest #4: As soon as you enter the second section of the level, swim straight down and look for a black chest you can destroy with Crucio. Levitate the pile of bones that appear afterward.
  5. Gold Brick #1: Beat the level.
  6. Gold Brick #2: Get True Wizard at 62000 Studs
  7. Gold Brick #3: Find all four House Crests.
  8. Gold Brick #4: Rescue the Student in Peril.
  9. Student in Peril: From where you take the second warp pipe, swim to the left until you find a rowboat; levitate the two oars into the boat, then levitate the boat to reveal a Student underneath it.
  10. Harry (Lake Task): After using the first warp pipe, go right and swim to a dead-end; shoot the chest in the small cave you find there.
  11. Guitarist: As soon as you enter the second section of the level, swim straight down and look to the left for a chest you can blast open.
  12. Krum Shark: After taking the warp pipe in the final section, you'll see the chest right there, to the left. Shoot it open.

The Dark Lord Returns

Walkthrough

  1. Follow the ghost to the final level; he will lead you up the Great Stairwell. If you haven't noticed, by Year 4, you can travel further up it by shooting the various paintings there. Up top, Dumbledore will unlock access to his office, which you can access after beating the last level. Follow him into his office to start.
  2. You start inside the hedge maze; each of the first four rooms is a puzzle. For the first room, destroy the plants in the center and levitate the remains into a gold knight. Shoot the knight and it will point towards the right exit, then the left; walk through the right exit, then the left exit and you will warp to the next room.
  3. In the next room, kill the Pixies and rebuild the gold knight as before. Walk through the exits in the order it points to.
  4. The last "gold knight" puzzle room requires you to use Lumos to clear the vines out, then re-assemble the gold knight and follow his instructions once again.
  5. After that last gold knight puzzle, you'll be in the "sliding hedge wall" area of the hedge maze. The sliding walls hurt to the touch and can push you into the spikes, so avoid them and watch for tentacles attacking Harry and Cedric from the maze walls as you follow the linear route.
  6. The path ends into a stopped sliding wall that is blocking the exit. Explore right into a dead-end and smash and re-assemble into a sign. Carry it to the sign post by the stopped sliding wall and reattach the sign to get the wall to move.
  7. In the next area, you will spot a sphinx; you need to get a spider to him in order to progress. Start by going left and levitating the book until some LEGO parts fall out.
  8. Levitate the parts into a trampoline and use it to bounce over the spiked hedge wall to the right. Levitate the fly there into the spider's web to get the spider's attention.
  9. Levitate the next fly that appears into the spider web on the spiked wall, after which the spider will destroy it.
  10. Levitate the remains he leaves behind into a new fly that attaches to the sphinx. The spider will now move the sphinx out of the way, allowing access to the Triwizard Cup. Approach it to begin the final battle against Voldemort.
  11. He's super-easy. Just keep shooting the Death Eaters that appear, and when you've taken enough of them out, Voldemort will appear and force Harry into a duel. Mash X to win the duel (make sure to select Harry first if you are not him); rinse and repeat to beat the story mode. Note that on Free Play, if neither partner is Harry, Voldemort will refuse initiate a duel.

Collectibles

  1. House Crest #1: In the hedge maze, look for five groups of writing tentacles and kill them with Lumos; you can't miss them as they will actively try to attack Harry and Cedric. You should have three by the time you beat the sliding hedge wall area, then the last two in the area with the sphinx.
  2. House Crest #2: In the second section of the level, destroy the black hedge wall to your left near the start with Crucio, then go through the new opening and dig up the Dig Point there.
  3. House Crest #3: In the second section of the level, instead of going through the exit, blow up the black hedge wall to the right with Crucio and enter to get warped to a secret area holding the crest.

  11. Fleur (Maze Task): In the sliding hedge wall section, slip past the first group and hug the maze wall to your left to go into a dead-end area with the chest.
  12. Viktor (Lake Task): After taking the warp pipe in the final section, you'll see the chest right there, to the left. Shoot it open.

Gold Bricks

  1. Gold Brick #1: In the Gryffindor Dorm, destroy the canopies of the four beds and the brick will appear above one of the beds.
  2. Gold Brick #2: Outside of the Gryffindor Dorm, in the hallway where the ghost is, shoot all the LEGO-made banners on the wall representing the four Houses of Hogwarts. There's five total, including two for Gryffindor.
  3. Gold Brick #3: In the room after the stairwell where you use Scabbers, zap all six floating unlit candles; they are easy to spot, and are all located in that room.
  4. Gold Brick #4: In the area around Hagrid's Hut there is a stone dais where the dirt path to the Quidditch Pitch turns. You'll want to assemble three gray LEGO pylons around the dais (use Lumos to move aside the vines and levitate the parts of the furthest left pylon, then levitate the chunk of the furthest right pylon, and shoot the object on the middle pylon and levitate it). Once they are all assembled, levitate the brooms by each one and clean up the pink stains on them. Once all three are clean, the brick will appear on the dais.
  5. Gold Brick #5: In the area outside the Quidditch Pitch, stand on the bench to the right of the tent and have your partner levitate it upwards. Ride the bench to the roof of the tent and use Wingardium Leviosa on the nearby clamp holding the red ball; it will roll down the chute and make the brick appear at the bottom.
  6. Gold Brick #6: In the Great Hall, there are six pitchers of meade on the various tables. Shoot all six and the gold brick appears high above you. Next, find each one of three of a group of green plates (one on each table) and shoot them to create a series of floating steps to the brick.
  7. Gold Brick #7: Inside the clock tower, shoot the portrait by the gears, then levitate the purple gear it drops into place nearby. Next, have Harry talk to the giant snake on the other side of the room (not the one gumming up the gears); this will make the snake on the gears move away. If you've done both tasks, the bell will ring and drop the brick.
  8. Gold Brick #8: Reward for completing the "Slugulus Eructo" sidequest in Hagrid's Garden. It's covered in more detail in the walkthrough (during Year 3; see section). This sidequest is also very glitched; if you don't get the gold brick after solving it, go back to Hagrid's Garden and you should get rewarded as soon as you enter. Don't worry if it seems like the sidequest is starting over.
  9. Gold Brick #9: You need to shoot 5 golden books located in the Ravenclaw Dorms and the Ravenclaw Common Room; this will be a bit tricky. Inside the dorm, shoot two of the beds to reveal one underneath. In the common room, move the trampoline to make the bouncing book fall, then levitate it into the shelf, then shoot it. You want to do mostly the same to the other two you find in the common room.
  10. Gold Brick #10: In the Owlery, shoot open the trunk under the stairs and levitate it over the birdbath. Once the owls come down to the birdbath, levitate the LEGO pieces they drop into an "owl-evator". Ride it to the second floor, then smash and levitate the desks until one drops a feather. Levitate the feather towards the portrait, then levitate the LEGOs that appear.
  11. Gold Brick #11: In the Owlery, go back in time using the grandfather clock and the Time-Turner. Levitate the colored cages into their respective colored pigeonholes.
  12. Gold Brick #12: Outside the Great Hall, there are four large rolled-up banners of the Four Houses of Hogwarts. Shoot each one. The Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw banners are in plain sight, but the Gryffindor and Slytherin banners are hard to spot; they flank the Great Hall doorway and you may need to tilt the camera upwards to target them.
  13. Gold Brick #13: Inside the classroom west from the Defense Against the Dark Arts room; it's the same one where you learn Reducto and it's only available at the point you do so. Simply shoot all seven pieces of steel that are NOT involved with the Reducto lesson (like the one in the Magic Bookcase, the one the Pixies are holding, etc.) Don't forget to shoot down the steel wall, the steel book on the floor, the steel skeleton held prisoner by vines, and the steel pigeon in the bird cage you must levitate.
  14. Gold Brick #14: Outside the classroom west from the Defense Against the Dark Arts room. Levitate the thin, large LEGO pieces so that they form a giant "H" on the wall. This makes a steel plate appear; shoot it with Reducto to blow it all up, revealing a tube. Levitate the broken piece into place, then send Hermione's cat into the tube and have it hit the valve at the end for the gold brick.
  15. Gold Brick #15: In the Restricted Area of the Library. Look for three wizard hats and shoot them. One is on the railing on the left balcony, one is held captive by two Pixies, and the other is on the shelf next to the Student in Peril.
  16. Gold Brick #16: In the Slytherin Temple, accessible via the side entrance in Snape's classroom. You need three green keys to unlock the stash of giant LEGO bricks in the far right area of the room. Use Hermione to open the Magic Bookcase, Griphook to open the lock at the base of the statue, and any Hufflepuffer to get the portrait to throw one at you. Use the giant LEGO bricks to reach the ledge with the Age Line and the brick trapped behind it; since there's no Aging Potion in the room, you'll need an Old character like Dumbledore or The Fat Friar to reach it.
  17. Gold Brick #17: In the Pixie Pendulum Room, accessible via the side entrance in the Defense Against the Dark Arts. Get to the bottom floor and make your way to the two columns holding up the flooring above. Destroy them and the giant Pixie statue will come crashing down, along with the brick.
  18. Gold Brick #18: In the Courtyard. Destroy the red suit of armor next to Hedwig's stand using Crucio. A blue Stud surrounded by yellow Studs will appear above you. Get a broomstick and collect them; another group will appear. Keep flying around collecting each group of Studs that appear until the gold brick pops up.
  19. Gold Brick #19: In the Muggle Studies Room, you need to get three rabbits into the hamster wheels by the Weasley Car. For the first, shoot the painting, then levitate the enevlope that falls out into the mail box. Next, stack the three desks on top of each other to create steps that lead to the tool bag on top of the shelf, then shoot the tool bag. Finally, shoot all the buttons on the TV till they are all green.
  20. Gold Brick #20: In the Slytherin Dorms, shoot the beds until you find a chest near the foot of one of them. Shoot the chest and some junk will tumble into the pool, turning it into a hot tub and making the brick appear.
  21. Gold Brick #21: In the Gryfinndor Dorms, use the Time-Turner to travel to the past version of the room, then shoot the large chest open. Afterward, jump into the chest itself and you should get a brick and be launched back out.
  22. Gold Brick #22: In the Hufflepuff Common Room, blast the safe with the steel lock open with Reducto and levitate the cake that flies out into the painting.
  23. Gold Brick #23: At the Black Lake, levitate the fishing rod to make a bunch of LEGOs tumble ashore. Levitate the LEGOs into a pair of frogs that will hop into the water and make two lamps appear. Dive into the water and ride one of the frogs like a vehicle, and guide the frog between the two lamps. The lamps will light up and make two more appear; guide the frog between those and more lamps will appear. Keep guiding the frog through every pair of lamps that appear and a gold brick will pop up at the end of the sequence.
  24. Gold Brick #24: In Hagrid's Garden, use the Time-Turner to go back in time via the grandfather clock. You'll get a cutscene of Hagrid demonstrating his dragon egg that you must hatch. Start by having Fang dig up the Dig Point by the scarecrow, revealing a head. Levitate the head onto the scarecrow and a new Dig Point will appear. Dig on that, then wreck the pumpkins inside the hole. Assemble the remains into a pull chain, then have Hagrid yank it to make the scarecrow wreck the objects near it. Assemble the remains into an incubator and then levitate the egg itself into it.
  25. Gold Brick #25: Use the Time-Turner on the grandfather clock in the area outside the Quidditch Pitch to go back in time. Have a Digger dig up the Dig Point by the gazeebo with the music instruments, then levitate the parts into a conductor's stand. Levitate the music sheet by the instruments onto the stand, and then stand in front of the conductor's stand and levitate the sheet to play the instruments; keep playing until the brick appears.
  26. Gold Brick #26: In the Broomstick Training Field. Shoot open the chest there with Reducto, then grab a broomstick and fly through the hoops that appear. You will get a gold brick and an unlockable.
  27. Gold Brick #27: In the Herbology classroom where you learn Mandrake Handling. Just use the potted plant by the Wardrobe to jump onto the Wardrobe, then jump to the brick floating in the air.
  28. Gold Brick #28: Inside the Clock Tower. Use the Time-Turner on the grandfather clock inside to warp back to the past, then have one partner stand on the red valve to shut off the wood gears so that another character can go up safely up to the clockface's deck. Shoot the painting there and levitate the part it drops into place on the clockface, then use Lumos to make the vines to the right drop another piece for levitation which will allow your partners to reach the deck. Levitate the remaining objects onto the clockface and then have a pair of magic users both move the green and blue hands into position at the same time.
  29. Gold Brick #29: In the Manticore Dungeon; access it by having Griphook open the entrance in the classroom where you learn Lumos. You need first to use Lumos to slip past the tentacles, then dodge the Manticores as you run to the second room (using a speedy character like Quirrell helps). In the second room, use Lumos on the vines holding the claw stuck on the wall, then use Lumos on the vines that appear on the other claw.
  30. Gold Brick #30: In the Transfiguration Storage room; reach it by blowing open the steel-bolted gate with Reducto in the Transfiguration class. Inside, you'll be challenged with a mini-game; stay on the right side of the lanes and shoot all the dummies coming down the lanes with the Transfiguration spell. Don't worry if you bought a lot of "red slot" spells, the spell you fire will always be Transfiguration as long as you have the red slot selected. Shoot enough dummies and you will receive a gold brick and an unlockable.
  31. Gold Brick #31: In the Haunted Bathroom corridor (take the spiral stairs in the area outside the Great Hall). Go to the top most floor and shoot through the steel pipes blocking the way with Reducto. You'll then need to guide the snail shell in the giant mirror there through the maze using Wingardium Leviosa; a partner will in turn need to move the red blocks in the maze out of the way for you (the CPU partner will do this automatically). Once the snail shell reaches the end of the maze, it will pop out of the mirror; shoot it for the brick.
  32. Gold Brick #32: In the Great Staircase area, during Year 4, shoot the paintings of the Quidditch players located around the area repeatedly until they toss a ball towards the picture of the dog at the very top of the stairs, left of Dumbledore's office. Approach the dog picture afterward and it will drop a brick.
  33. Gold Brick #33: Inside Dumbledore's Office (located in the Great Stairwell and only accessible after beating the game). Simply blow up the chest with the steel lock using Reducto.
  34. Gold Brick #34: In the infamous White Dragon Basement (shoot the steel lock off the trapdoor in the classroom where you learn Wingardium Leviosa). Look for the incomplete LEGO white dragon and destroy the two eggs in front of it. Levitate the parts that come out onto the dragon. Make sure there is NO autosaving currently going on first, then jump on the dragon's head. He should vault you out of the basement high into the air inside the Wingardium Leviosa classroom, where you will automatically get a brick. Once you get a brick, make sure to move away from the trapdoor lest you fall back down into the basement.
  35. Gold Brick #35-49: Automatic reward for completing a class at Hogwarts and/or unlocking an ability. You cannot miss these as these are required to progress in the game and unlock story levels.
  36. Gold Brick #50: Reward for unlocking Transfiguration. This is the ONLY optional Hogwarts class in the game. The classroom is in the upper right corner of the room holding Snape's Potions class; you can get to it as soon as you unlock Mandrake Handling.
  37. Gold Brick #51-76: Each Student in Peril you save at Hogwarts gives you one.

Students in Peril

  1. Student in Peril #1: In the Gryffindor Common Room, shoot the couch holding the sleeping Student. It will eat the Student and spit him out in a pile. Shoot the pile to restore him.
  2. Student in Peril #2: After unlocking Wingardium Leviosa and leaving Prof. Flitwick's classroom, use the spell on the apple on the shelf the Student outside the classroom is trying to reach.
  3. Student in Peril #3: In the room outside the hall holding the Lumos and Wingardium Leviosa classrooms, levitate the books on the floor by the tall bookshelf the Student is dangling from. The books will make a series of floating steps that let you reach the Student.
  4. Student in Peril #4: When you first enter the Courtyard, you will find a Student In Peril getting beat up by three bullies. Shoot all the bullies to rescue him.
  5. Student in Peril #5: Save the Student trapped in Devil's Snare in the area around Hagrid's Hut.
  6. Student in Peril #6: In the area outside the Quidditch Pitch, there's a Student stuck on the ledge where the animated billboard is. Levitate one of the canvases out from underneath the ledge until it snaps into place in the pegs in front of the billboard.
  7. Student in Peril #7: In the Great Hall, there's a Student wrapped up in spider webs on the left-hand side of the room; shoot him free.
  8. Student in Peril #8: Get into the Hufflepuff House entrance area by killing the Pixie in front of the entrance door with Immobulus and using the crank he was holding on the door. Inside the Hufflepuff House Entrance, get earmuffs from the Wardrobe and stuff the Mandrake harassing the Student into the nearby pot.
  9. Student in Peril #9: In plain sight inside the Clock Tower, trapped in webbing.
  10. Student in Peril #10: In Hagrid's Garden, find the rolled up picnic blanket and levitate it. Now levitate the picnic basket repeatedly as it dumps out its contents. Eventually a Student will peek out of it after levitating it enough and drop a seed. Shoot it and a grey pumpkin will appear. Levitate the grey pumpkin until it suddenly takes off with the picnic basket and the Student with it (which somehow means you saved him...).
  11. Student in Peril #11: In the Ravenclaw Dorms, you'll see the Student standing next to a red book that's spitting up stuff. Shoot the chain behind the red book.
  12. Student in Peril #12: In the Hufflepuff Common Room, you will see a Venus Fly Trap in the fireplace by the sofas. Shoot it to pieces and a Student will fall out of the fireplace.
  13. Student in Peril #13: In the Owlery. Just walk up to the two owls holding the scroll and they will automatically cough him up.
  14. Student in Peril #14: In the Owlery, use the Time-Turner on the grandfather clock to go back in time. You'll find the Student right there, stuck in the birdbath; shoot the base of the birdbath till he pops out.
  15. Student in Peril #15: Follow the instructions for Gold Brick #12, located outside the Great Hall; you'll see him tumble out of the Slytherin banner.
  16. Student in Peril #16: In the Restricted Area of the Library. He's on the rightside balcony, trapped by a Mandrake. The Wardrobe is on the leftside balcony and is blocked by a book ghost that shoves you back with levitation if you approach, however, he seems to be glitched like 99% of this game. I got him to leave just by exiting and re-entering the room; his levitation barrier was still there but seemed to diminsh the more you approach his book until it disappeared forever. At any rate, if he's gone, you can get the earmuffs from the Wardrobe. Next, go underneath the rightside balcony and look for a red book on the shelves to shoot. When it lands on the ground, get behind it and press B to immobilize it, then levitate it to get it to dump out a Dig Point. Have a Digger take care of the Dig Point and a ladder to the rightside balcony will appear. Climb it and dump the Mandrake in the nearby pot.
  17. Student in Peril #17: Trapped in webbing right in plain sight in the Gearworks Room. The Gearworks Room is accessible by blowing open the steel-locked trunk in the Defense Against the Dark Arts room and assembling the pieces into a magical door.
  18. Student in Peril #18: Trapped in webbing in the top of the Great Stairwell, basically in plain sight.
  19. Student in Peril #19: Shoot the bookcase in the Slytherin Dorm the Student is clearly trapped behind. After it falls down, jump on the Student's head, collecting all the Studs, and he SHOULD move out of the cubbyspace.
  20. Student in Peril #20: At the Black Lake, wreck the crates by the shore and levitate the pieces to build a dock, letting the trapped Student come ashore.
  21. Student in Peril #21: Inside Hagrid's Garden, use the Time-Turner on the grandfather clock to go back in time, then jump and shoot the pumpkin that is pinning the Student to the ground (shooting from the ground will likely hit the Student instead).
  22. Student in Peril #22: In the area outside the Quidditch Pitch, use the Time-Turner there to go back in time, afterward, blast the steel lock on the chest by the Gryffindor tent and levitate it. Two freeze ray guns will pop out that will allow you to climb onto the tent if you wish, along with a Student.
  23. Student in Peril #23: Inside the Herbology Lab (located in the Garden Alley; use the back exit in the Herbology Classroom). Enter the Herbology Lab and levitate the hanging fruit by the venus fly trap, then get its attention and it will knock down an ingredient. Dump it in the cauldron below and get earmuffs from the Wardrobe right next to it. Grab the next ingredient underneath the Mandrake to the right, then shoot the plants next to the holding cell the Student is trapped in to get another ingredient. Get all the ingredients into the cauldron and drink the Strength Potion so you can yank the pull chain next to the Student's cell, letting him out.
  24. Student in Peril #24: Inside the Manticore Dungeon (have Griphook open the entrance inside the classroom where you learned Lumos). Jump into the canal the various critters keep trying to shove you into and follow it to the end; use Lumos to free him from the vines.
  25. Student in Peril #25: In the Boy's Washroom (located in the Haunted Bathroom hallway; use Reducto to shoot the steel lock on the door next to the haunted bathroom), shoot open the green stalls; they will both have students inside but the actual Student in Peril is the one dying from his farts.
  26. Student in Peril #26: In the infamous White Dragon Basement (shoot the steel lock off of the trap door in the same classroom where you learn Wingardium Leviosa). You'll spot him easily on the wall wrapped in spider web.

Unlockable Characters

  1. Alicia Spinnet: Inside the Restricted Section of the Library (you'll need to complete the Ageing Potion in the Library or use an Aged character to slip past the Age Line). Open the Magic Bookcase and levitate the parts that pop out into a book cart. You can ride the bookcart like a vehicle. Do so to make pink books appear on the ground; collect them all with the book cart.
  2. Amos Diggery: Inside Hagrid's Garden, blow the steel lock off the Boggart Trunk and kill the Boggart.
  3. Angelina Johnson: In the pavillion area separating the Owlery from the Courtyard. There are ten non-LEGO torches in the corridor that rings the pavillion itself; shoot all ten.
  4. Boy: Inside the classroom where you unlock Wingardium Leviosa. To the right of the second Student you rescue is a sparkling bookshelf by the stain-glass windows. Keep using Wingardium Leviosa on it till it spits out the unlockable.
  5. Cedric (Maze Task): In the area outside Hagrid's Hut are Pixies holding a flying pumpkin, and a trio of rockets on the ground. Kill the Pixies with Immobulus and shoot the rocket held down by steel chains with Reducto, then shoot the fuse. It will fly off and explode, leaving the unlockable high up in the air. Now use the flying pumpkin (it's actually a broomstick-like vehicle you can ride) and use it to fly up to it.
  6. Cho Chang: In the Owlery, shoot open the trunk under the stairs and levitate it over the birdbath. Once the owls come down to the birdbath, levitate the LEGO pieces they drop into an "owl-evator". Ride it to the second floor, where there's a phonograph. Find a record on the ground and levitate it into the phonograph to play it, then shoot the phonograph to make it spit it out. Shoot the silver trunk to get another record and play it as you did the first one. The last record is on the right-most table, behind the owls. Levitate it over to the phonograph and the unlockable should pop up. Note that it's possible that you may need to use the Time-Turner in the Owlery and assemble the past version of the phonograph for all of the records to appear.
  7. Colin Creevey: In the Great Hall, destroy one of the metal banquet plate covers on the headmaster's table with Reducto.
  8. Dean Thomas: In the Gryffindor Dorm, use the Time-Turner to go back in time to the past version of the room, then find the chest by one of the beds and shoot it open.
  9. Doris Crockford: There are 6 wall-mounted torches in the Lobby and 3 in the adjoining passage between the Lobby and the Courtyard. Use Wingardium Leviosa on all nine of them to get this unlockable. One of the torches in the passage is locked with a steel bolt you must wreck with Reducto.
  10. Draco Malfoy: In the Pixie Pendulum Room (accessible via one of the Defense Against the Dark Arts room). Destroy all the Pixies swinging the pendulums around in that room.
  11. Drummer: In the Garden Dome (the wooden building in Garden Alley behind the Herbology classroom). Find and destroy the Boggart Trunk in the Garden Dome.
  12. Dudley Dursley: In the Muggle Studies Room, shoot the PC monitor repeatedly until it pops out.
  13. Ernie MacMillan: Smash all six glass tubes and flower cases in the area outside Snape's classroom using a Mandrake. The Wardrobe is located next to the door to McGonagall's classroom.
  14. Fat Friar: Inside the Hufflepuff Common Room. Shoot the portrait by the Wardrobe and it will drop a cake. Keep shooting the cake until it explodes.
  15. Fleur Delacour: In the Garden Alley (get to it by using Reducto to shoot the steel-bolted door open at the back of the Herbology classroom where you learn Mandrake Handling). Just blast open the locked trunk in the Garden Alley with Reducto.
  16. Fred Weasley: In the Transfiguration Storage room; reach it by blowing open the steel-bolted gate with Reducto in the Transfiguration class. It's hidden behind the chalkboard near the three lanes.
  17. Gabrielle Delacour: Inside the Ravenclaw Common Room. Look for a greyish suitcase on the second floor and shoot it. A red ball (a "Quaffle") will pop out, fly around the room, get stuck in a moose head, and drop the unlockable.
  18. George (Quidditch): Go to the area outside the Quidditch Pitch and use the Time-Turner on the grandfather clock to go back to the past version of this area. Have a Digger then dig up the Dig Point by the frozen refreshment stand, then levitate the parts that come out into a sunny cloud that will melt the ice around the stand and the plants. Levitate the un-frozen plants into the roof of the refreshment stand and it will eventually barf out this.
  19. Gillderoy Lockhart (Green Jacket): In Hagrid's Garden, use the Time-Turner on the grandfather clock to travel back in time, then go to the wood pile by Hagrid's hut and shoot the steel bolt with Reducto.
  20. Ginny (Cardigan): In the area around Hagrid's Hut are Pixies holding a flying pumpkin, and a trio of rockets on the ground. Kill the Pixies with Immobulus and shoot the rocket (the one not held down by steel chains or black crystals). It will fly off and explode, leaving the unlockable high up in the air. Now use the flying pumpkin (it's actually a broomstick-like vehicle you can ride) and use it to fly up to it.
  21. Ginny Weasley: Inside the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom (the one where you learn Riddikulus) in front of the gated entrance to the Pixie Pendulum Room. Use Crucio to destroy the enchanted metal bars the unlockable is trapped behind.
  22. Girl: Inside the classroom where you unlock Lumos. Shoot the wicks of the four tall candlesticks in the room.
  23. Gryffindor Boy: Hidden behind the couch holding the Student in Peril in the Gryffindor Dorm Lounge.
  24. Gryffindor Girl: Outside the entrance to Snape's classroom is a Slytherin boy holding the unlockable and taunting you. Shoot him repeatedly until he runs over to a nearby cauldron, then levitate the cauldron to reveal a snake, spooking the boy and giving you access to the unlockable.
  25. Harry (Blue Shirt): As part of the main quest, you need to use a Hufflepuff character to bluff the Hufflepuff portrait outside the Great Hall into opening the red curtains blocking access to the spiral staircase to the Haunted Bathroom hallway. Underneath the spiral staircase is the unlockable.
  26. Harry (Maze Task): In the Gearworks Room, accessible via the secret entrance in the chest in the Defense Against the Dark Arts room. Simply shoot the three multi-colored flags in the far upper-left area of the room.
  27. Harry (Quidditch): In the Broomstick Training Field, have Hermione's cat dig up the five Dig Points.
  28. Hannah Abbot: Use Wingardum Leviosa on all eight torches in the area outside Snape's classroom; you'll need to use a Mandrake to get to one of them near Prof. Lockhart's class.
  29. Hermione (Blue Top): Inside Prof. Trelawney's Divination classroom. Destroy the black cupboard by the safe using Crucio.
  30. Hermione (Cat): There's a Magic Bookcase on the third floor corridor holding the haunted bathroom; have Hermione open it, then use the LEGO parts that appear to build a drawer, then shoot it.
  31. Hermione (Grey-Hooded Top): In the Owlery, simply levitate the rolled-up lattice. It will fly around and then make a bridge leading up to it.
  32. Hermione (Hogwarts): In the Owlery, use the Time-Turner to go back into the past version of the Owlery. Shoot the owl portrait by the stairs and it will leave and return bearing an "owl-evator". Ride it to the second floor; once there, shoot the green plant by the candles, then levitate the parts that fall out of the portrait into a phonograph that spits out the unlockable.
  33. Hufflepuff Boy: Smash all five glass flower cases in the Courtyard area using a Mandrake. The Wardrobe is in the corridor adjacent to the broomstick yard.
  34. Hufflepuff Girl: In the Hufflepuff Dorms, shoot the trunk by the entrance repeatedly until it opens, then levitate the parts it spits out into a radio.
  35. Hufflepuff Prefect: Take the north exit from the courtyard into the pavillion (once you've opened it) and take out the two Pixies with Immobilus. Blast open the chest they drop and use the resulting giant LEGO pieces to reach the unlockable above.
  36. Justin Finch-Fletchley: He can't be missed and you don't even need to purchase him; he's instantly unlocked and usable after preparing your first Polyjuice Potion.
  37. Katie Bell: In the area outside the Quidditch Pitch, there are five Gryffindor flags at half-staff; raise all of them up with Wingardium Leviosa.
  38. Lee Jordon: Locate the trio of gold wizard busts nearby Prof. McGonagall's Transfiguration class room and zap them all.
  39. Mad Eye Moody: In the infamous White Dragon Basement (shoot the steel lock off the trapdoor in the classroom where you learn Wingardium Leviosa). Look for the incomplete LEGO white dragon and destroy the two eggs in front of it. Levitate the parts that come out onto the dragon and the unlockable appears.
  40. Madam Hooch: In the Boy's Washroom (located in the Haunted Bathroom hallway; use Reducto to blast off the steel lock on the door), look for a can of spray paint by the green lockers and levitate it on the walls until you draw a face with it.
  41. Madam Pince: From the Courtyard, take the right-side exit into the passage connecting it to the Lobby and the Covered Bridge. Shoot the LEGO panels on the wall so that they rotate and reveal a bust behind them. One of the panels has a steel lock you need to blow up using Reducto.
  42. Madam Rosmerta: Inside the Clock Tower. Use the Time-Turner on the grandfather clock inside to warp back to the past, then have one partner stand on the red valve to shut off the wood gears so that Hermione can go up safely up to the clockface's deck. Nearby will be a Magic Bookcase locked with a steel bolt; have Hermione use Reducto to blast the lock, then open the Magic Bookcase.
  43. Milkman: Use the Time-Turner on the grandfather clock in the Clock Tower and it will be sitting right there next to you when you travel back to the past.
  44. Millicent Bulstrode: Destroy the red-and-black display case-thing in the area outside the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom using Crucio.
  45. Mr. Mason: In the Muggle Studies Room, shoot the little bobblehead figure on the desk. It will cough up another bobblehead; shoot it and another one will appear. Shoot the last one and it coughs up this unlockable.
  46. Mrs. Mason: In the Muggle Studies Room, simply shoot the vaccum cleaner near the TV. Although it looks like it's too high in the air, you CAN grab it by jumping.
  47. Molly Weasley: In the Great Hall, destroy one of the metal banquet plate covers on the headmaster's table with Reducto.
  48. Nearly Headless Nick: Inside Dumbledore's Office (located in the Great Stairwell and only accessible after beating the game). Shoot the candelabra in the lower-right corner of the room.
  49. Neville Longbottom: Get into the Hufflepuff House area by taking out the Pixie holding the crank to the entrance of it, then using the crank on the door. Inside, wreck all the glass flower cases using the Mandrake, getting earmuffs first from the Wardrobe nearby.
  50. Padma (Ballgown): In the Ravenclaw Dorms, shoot the canopy off the bed closest to the entrance and bounce off the mattress.
  51. Padma Patil: In the area outside the Quidditch Pitch, ther are four Slytherin flags at half-staff; raise all of them up with Wingardium Leviosa.
  52. Pavrati (Ballgown): Inside the classroom west from the Defense Against the Dark Arts room; it's the same one where you learn Reducto and it's only available at the point you do so. Simply shoot the three spider webs on the walls.
  53. Pavrati Patil: Inside the Defense Against The Dark Arts classroom, during and after you unlock Riddikulus. Shoot the four blue LEGO books in the room; they can be kind of tough to spot, so look carefully at the floor and don't miss the one sitting on the stairway rail in the back.
  54. Penelope Clearwater: In the staircase leading up to the Ravenclaw Common Room, shoot open the rattling gate by the bottom of the stairs, then levitate the parts that come out out of the gate into a telescope and the unlockable.
  55. Percy (Sweater): In the Great Stairwell, shoot the empty pots in front of the door to the Muggle Studies Room, then shoot the flowers that pop out.
  56. Percy Weasley: In the area around Hagrid's Hut, there are four half-buried carrots. Levitate each one out of the ground and you get this unlockable.
  57. Petunia Dursley: In Hagrid's Garden, use the Time-Turner to go back in time via the grandfather clock. Fang and Hagrid will be available there; have Fang dig up the Dig Point behind the keg.
  58. Professor Binns: In the Great Stairwell, make you way to the bird statue near the Student in Peril. Levitate the lit candle by the bird statue onto the unlit one.
  59. Professor Dumbledore: Inside Dumbledore's Office (located in the Great Stairwell and only accessible after beating the game). Go behind Dumbledore's desk and walk into the small room you find there to find a black chest you can blow up with Crucio.
  60. Professor Dumbledore (Grey): Inside Dumbledore's Office (located in the Great Stairwell and only accessible after beating the game). You need three ingredients for the Strength Potion: one held by the Pixie in the lower right, another by levitating the nearby colored beans into the corresponding colored pots, then a final one by shooting the gold suit of armor until it drops it. Get Superstrength, then climb the stairs by Dumbledore's desk and yank the pull chain, then shoot the planetary system model until the Sorting Hat appears and gives it to you.
  61. Professor Flitwick: In the Manticore Dungeon (use Griphook to open the entrance in the Charms classroom where you learned Lumos). In the first area of the dungeon, find and destroy the Boggart Trunk.
  62. Professor McGonagall: In the Transfiguration Storage room; reach it by blowing open the steel-bolted gate with Reducto in the Transfiguration class. Inside, you'll be challenged with a mini-game; stay on the right side of the lanes and shoot all the dummies coming down the lanes with the Transfiguration spell. Don't worry if you bought a lot of "red slot" spells, the spell you fire will always be Transfiguration as long as you have the red slot selected. Shoot enough dummies and you will receive this and a gold brick.
  63. Professor Quirrell: In the bottom floor of the Pixie Pendulum Room, accessible via the side entrance in the Defense Against the Dark Arts room. Make your way to the bottom floor and shoot all the Pixies to stop them from swaying the platforms. At the end of the gantlet is the unlockable.
  64. Professor Snape: In the Slytherin Temple, accessible via the side entrance in Snape's classroom. Simply blast open the chest by the gold brick with Reducto.
  65. Professor Sprout: In the Garden Dome (the wooden building in Garden Alley behind the Herbology classroom). Use the bench to reach the upper balcony with the Wardrobe, then grab the Mandrake below and use it to smash 5 glass objects in the room.
  66. Professor Trelawney: In Prof. Trelawney's Divination classroom. Have Griphook open the safe in the classroom.
  67. Oliver Wood: In the area outside Prof. Trelawney's class, shoot all the bushes and plants until you find three ingredients for a Strength Potion. Get some superstrength and yank the pull chain nearby. Now fly through all the gold hoops that appear above using one of the nearby broomsticks.
  68. Ravenclaw Boy: In the area ouside the Quidditch Pitch is a refreshment stand. Surrounding the stand are plants; levitate each plant into the roof of the stand. Once all of them smash upon the stand, the stand itself will go crazy and spew a lot of LEGO studs and the unlockable.
  69. Ravenclaw Girl: In the Library, blast the steel lock off the gate with Reducto, then levitate the bar off the gate, then levitate the LEGO parts that appear into a radio, then shoot it. Dancing skeletons will eventually appear and give this to you.
  70. Ravenclaw Prefect: In the Courtyard. Destroy the steel knight in the fountain left behind from when you got the Red Brick in this area. Green goop will appear around the fountain; wipe it all up using the bouncing plunger.
  71. Rita Skeeter: In the Slytherin House Entrance area, destroy the steel locks on all the manholes, then levitate the LEGO parts into a pull chain. Have someone with Superstrength yank both of them to create a geyser of water you can ride to the unlockable.
  72. Ron (Brown Jacket): In Hagrid's Garden, levitate all three groups of the tall mushroom stalks.
  73. Ron (Hogwarts): Blast the trunk next to the bed by the exit out of the Gryffindor Boys' Bedroom (hard to see it unless you zap the canopy first).
  74. Ron (Pyjamas): Inside the classroom west from the Defense Against the Dark Arts room; it's the same one where you learn Reducto and it's only available at the point you do so. Simply levitate the four torches on the walls.
  75. Ron (Tuxedo): The Student in Peril at the Black Lake should drop this when you rescue him.
  76. Seamus Finnegan: In the Gryfinndor Dorm, use the Time-Turner to travel back to the past version of the room, then shoot the steel lock off one of the chests.
  77. Slytherin Boy: In the Slytherin Common Room, shoot the painting by the entrance, then shoot the briefcase it tosses over by the couches.
  78. Slytherin Girl: In the Slytherin Common Room, levitate all five green lanterns.
  79. Susan Bones: In the library, as part of , you need to shoot the third shutter from the door, levitate the window behind it, then levitate the torch that appears so it lights another one by a painting, then shoot that torch so that it causes the wizard in the painting to water a trio of potted plants. The left-most plant can be levitated, throwing any character standing on into the air; use this to reach the unlockable floating above the plants.
  80. Vernon Dursely: Follow the instructions to get Gold Brick #7 in the clock tower. After doing so, the snake that was gumming up the gears will be hiding in a hole with its tail exposed; shoot its tail and the unlockable will appear.
  81. Viktor Krum: In the area outside Hagrid's Hut, use Crucio to desroy the black crystal covering one of the rockets, then shoot the fuse. If you haven't already, kill the Pixie holding the flying pumpkin use it to reach the unlockable.
  82. Viktor (Dragon Task): In the Broomstick Training Field. Shoot open the chest there with Reducto, then grab a broomstick and fly through the hoops that appear. You will get a gold brick and an unlockable.
  83. Viktor (Tuxedo): In the Gearworks Room, accessible via the secret entrance in the chest in the Defense Against the Dark Arts room. Just shoot all the seven of the hanging lamps in the room.
  84. Wizard (Red): In the Restricted Section of the Library. Get onto the leftside balcony once the glitchy ghost is gone and use Crucio to rip out the dark objects from the book shelves. Kill the black spider that comes out, then the Dementor with Patronus, then the wasp. The unlockable should then appear.
  85. Wizard (White): In the area outside the Great Hall. Blow up the black safe naer the secret entrance to the Hogsmeade level with Crucio.

Red Bricks

  1. Red Brick #1: Use Wingardium Leviosa on the potted plant on the chest next to Hedwig in the Gryffindor Boy's Dormroom to move it aside. Blast the chest open and levitate the red box inside over to the Interaction Point by Hedwig.
  2. Red Brick #2: In the courtyard, smash the gargoyles by the fountain. Use Wingardium Leviosa to assemble the remains into a knight that will pull out the plunger in the fountain. Bring the resulting red box over to Hedwig, perched north from the fountain.
  3. Red Brick #3: In the area around Hagrid's Hut, look for a pile of grey LEGO disks. Levitate them to form a rain cloud, then guide the rain cloud as far to the left as it can go, then as far to the right. This should make four patches of flowers pop out of the ground; levitate each patch and the red box will appear. Bring the box to Hedwig, who's hanging by some vines to the left.
  4. Red Brick #4: In the Great Hall, there's a LEGO turkey on the table to the furthest left, on the edge of the table closest to the Headmaster's table. Shoot it and it will come to life, run around the room, and explode, leaving behind a red box. Give it to Hedwig, who's on the other side of the room.
  5. Red Brick #5: Inside the clock tower, walk over to the four tall clocks with colored pedestals on them. Shoot each trunk next to the four clocks and four small clocks with feet will pop out. You want to levitate each small clock onto the pedestal of matching color; look carefully at the color of the LEGO stud on the small clock and compare it to the color of the pedestal. Once all four small clocks are in their rightful place, the red box appears. Deliver it to Hedwig; if case you didn't know, you need to kill the Pixies above the obstructing brown gears to get them to stop moving.
  6. Red Brick #6: In the Ravenclaw Common Room. Levitate the table on the bottom floor to make the shape of a raven. Now explore the area, shooting and levitating all that you see, until you've levitated every possible extra piece onto the raven shape. Shoot the completed raven and it will drop the red box; hand it over to Hedwig.
  7. Red Brick #7: In the Hufflepuff Dorms, shoot the bucket in the center to make a giant tree full of flowers appear. Shoot every single flower to make the red box appear, then give it to Hedwig over to the left.
  8. Red Brick #8: In the Owlery, use the Time-Turner to go back into the past version of the Owlery. Shoot the owl portrait by the stairs and it will leave and return bearing an "owl-vator". Ride it to the second floor; once there, smash and levitate stuff until you make a projector that displays an image of the red box. Levitate the red box out of the image itself and hand it to Hedwig.
  9. Red Brick #9: In the Restricted Section of the Library, go to the shelf next to the Magic Bookcase and you should see the red box on the shelf. Levitate the yellow, red, and green books into position right next to their colored counterparts below the red box; hand the box to Hedwig when it falls down.
  10. Red Brick #10: In the Gearworks Room, accessible via the secret entrance in the chest in the Defense Against the Dark Arts room. You need to destroy all five Boggart Trunks in this room using Riddikulus. The first three are in plain sight; for the last two, you must cross the gearworks at the bottom area, avoiding the steam, and ride the big gap in the wheel next to the right-most gear into the next area. Destroy the LEGO-made engine and levitate the parts to create a device to lower the fourth Boggart Trunk. The fifth trunk requires three ingredients, all dropped by the first three Boggart Trunks. Get them, put them in the cauldron in the upper-left corner of the room to make a Strength Potion, then yank the pull chain and destroy that last trunk. The red box appears right next to Hedwig.
  11. Red Brick #11: In the Slytherin Temple, accessible via the side entrance in Snape's classroom. You need three green keys to unlock the stash of giant LEGO bricks in the far right area of the room. Use Hermione to open the Magic Bookcase, Griphook to open the lock at the base of the statue, and any Hufflepuffer to get the portrait to throw one at you. Use the giant LEGO bricks to reach the red box, then give it to Hedwig.
  12. Red Brick #12: In the Muggle Studies Room, simply shoot the printer/fax, then grab the red box when it appears and give it to Hedwig.
  13. Red Brick #13: In the Slytherin Dorm, the red box is lying by Draco's bed in plain sight; grab it and give it to Hedwig.
  14. Red Brick #14: In the area outside the Quidditch Pitch, use the Time-Turner to go back in time, then go to the right of the Gryffindor tent to find a giant block of ice. Levitate the hammer and chisel all around the block of ice until it chips enough away to reveal the red box, then give it to Hedwig.
  15. Red Brick #15: In the Botany Research room (get to it from the Garden Alley, behind Prof. Sprout's Herbology classroom). Follow the steps to rescue Student in Peril #23, then shoot the large plant in the lower right corner of the room. You should now have enough leaves to build a staircase to the upper level. Carry all three Mandrakes in the bottom area to the trio of pots on the upper level (you'll need to shoot flowers underneath the Mandrake on the shelf to reach it).
  16. Red Brick #16: In the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom where you learn Reducto. Simply have a Dark Mage blow up the black ball in the room with Crucio.
  17. Red Brick #17: In the Manticore Dungeon; access it by having Griphook open the entrance in the classroom where you learn Lumos. You need first to use Lumos to slip past the tentacles, then dodge the Manticores as you run to the second room (using a speedy character like Quirrell helps). In the second room, have someone with Parseltongue talk to the snake to make a black ball appear, then blow it up with Crucio.
  18. Red Brick #18: In the Prefect's Bathroom (located in the Haunted Bathroom hallway; use Reducto to blast off the steel lock on the door), levitate the showerheads onto the shower stems that are missing those pieces, then shoot all the showerheads so that they are all flowing water.
  19. Red Brick #19: Inside Dumbledore's Office (located in the Great Stairwell and only accessible after beating the game). Simply walk up to the Phoenix and it will explode, creating a red box; give it up to Hedwig.
  20. Red Brick #20: In the infamous White Dragon Basement (shoot the steel lock off the trap door in the classroom where you learned Wingardium Leviosa). Just look for a black ball in the far right area of the room you can blow up with Crucio.

Gold Bricks (Hidden and For Sale)

  1. Gold Brick #1-12: You can buy these at Eeylops' Owl Emporium.
  2. Gold Brick #13-16: You get one gold brick after unlocking a bonus level inside The Leaky Cauldron's basement. A bonus level is unlocked by acquiring all the gold bricks for one Year. To get access to the basement, you need to blow the steel lock off the trap door near the stairs in The Leaky Cauldron's pub area using Reducto.
  3. Gold Brick #17: Inside Eeylops' Owl Emporium is a broom-powered vehicle you can ride. Do so and sweep away all the greyish molt and feathers on the ground (don't forget the piles by the shop counter). When you've gotten rid of most of it, the brick will appear.
  4. Gold Brick #18: Go into Borgin & Burkes via Knockturn Alley (you need Reducto to blast the steel gate to enter the alley). It's lying right behind the counter, almost in plain sight.

Gold Bricks (Bonus Levels)

  1. Gold Brick #19: Beat Bonus Level 1; just collect at least 100,000 Studs scattered around the LEGO town to unlock the door to the gold brick.
  2. Gold Brick #20: Beat Bonus Level 2; super-easy, just have Harry stand on the appropriate button to activate a lift for Ron to use to cross the quicksand pits. When Ron reaches Harry, have him use Scabbers to open the nearby gate, then have both boys stand on the buttons underneath the gold brick to lower the elevator up to it.
  3. Gold Brick #21: Beat Bonus Level 3. Start by dumping all three ingredients into the cauldron to make a Strength Potion; two of them are in plain sight and the third you must have a partner levitate the nearby bench upward to reach. Next, get superstrength from the potion and pull the chain below to reach a Wardrobe. Enter the Wardrobe to get ear muffs for your character, then head over to the screaming mandrake and grab it. Use it to smash the glass, then dump it in the bucket and have both Ron and Harry stand on the two buttons. The next section is deceptively simple; stand on the white tile and levitate the closest gray platform so that it snaps tightly onto the floating purple LEGO block in front of you. Jump to the platform, then repeat this for the next two gray platforms.
  4. Gold Brick #22: Beat Bonus Level 4. Send Scabbers into the tube and have him hit the button. Use Lumos to move aside the blocking vines, then collect the three ingredients and dump them into the cauldron to make a Strength Potion. The third ingredient is past the glass gate; enter the Wardrobe to get ear muffs and grab the screaming mandrake and use it to smash the gate, then have Hermione open the Magic Bookcase to get the ingredient. Once you have superstrength, use it to yank the pull chain near the Magic Bookcase to lower a platform to a green ball. Roll the green ball into one of the two holes near the Strength Potion pot. Turn the valve handle by the Wardrobe to raise the water level, then swim to the vines and use Lumos to dispel them, then roll-swim the green ball there into the second hole to unlock the gate to the gold brick.
  5. Gold Brick #23: You need to have bought a Ravenclaw House character (such as Padma Patil) for this one. Lumos away the vines and send Scabbers through the tube. Park him on the button on the other side and have another character stand on the button on their side to lower the bridge. Have Hagrid yank the chain on the other side, then stand on the button to the right. Send Scabbers into the next tube and park him on the button at the other end. With both bridges lowered, dump the three ingredients into the cauldron and use it to switch one of the characters with any Ravenclaw House character. Now go back to the start of the area and have the Ravenclaw member open the door. Get the ear muffs from the Wardrobe and grab the screaming mandrake; use it to smash the glass blocking access to the final tube. Send Scabbers into the tube to get the gold brick.
  6. Gold Brick #24: You need to have bought at least one character from Slytherin House for this. At the start, have Filch turn the valve nearby by the start point, then have Ron jump on the lowered platform and use Lumos to clear out the vines ahead. Follow the new path to a magic shortcut via fireplace (only Ron can take it), which leads to another valve. Turn the new valve so that Filch can catch up to Ron. Meanwhile, send Scabbers into tube near Ron so he can be parked on a button on the other side and Ron the same on your side. Go through the open door and turn the valve to open the gate to the gold cauldron. Grab the two ingredients nearby to feed the cauldron, then turn the valve by the gold cauldron to replace the quicksand with water. Jump into the water and swim towards the right to a small shore and jump upward. Have Ron use the fireplace there to warp to an area where you can grab the last ingredient and turn a valve that will activate some moving platforms. Have Filch use the platforms to leap across the gap to another valve that will open a gate to let Ron out. Use the last ingredient in the pot and use the Polyjuice Potion to switch out one character with a Slytherin character; have the Slytherin character open the wall near the start point and get the brick.
  7. Gold Brick #25: Harry and Ron are on opposite sides of the field and must perform various actions to help each other. Start by having Harry grab the nearby ingredient, then go right and jump up to the valve, then turn it. Next, have Ron go right and send Scabbers into the tube to hit a valve handle. This opens a fireplace for Harry to warp over to Ron's side of the lava river. Have Harry warp over and smash all the plants there to find the last two ingredients. Dump them all into the pot to get a Strength Potion; drink it to yank the pull chain, starting up a moving platform near Ron. Have Ron use it to reach the Wardrobe; get earmuffs from it and collect the Mandrake near Scabber's tube. Use the Mandrake to smash down the glass wall left of the moving platform and turn the valve handle there; this will finally open the gate separating Harry and Ron. Have the two warp back to Harry's starting point via fireplace and stand on the two floor buttons to open a second gate. Turn the valve handle behind the second gate to get rid of the lava and reveal the brick.
  8. Gold Brick #26: You need to have unlocked a Dark Mage character to beat this one. Start by killing the Dementor to get him to drop an ingredient. Search the area for two more and use them on the gold pot to make the Polyjuice Potion. Drink it and turn into any Dark Mage character. Head upwards using the fireplace warp and have Ron send Scabbers into the tube there to hit both of the valve handles in the tube. Next, head out the opened gate and have both characters make their way to a cliff with giant LEGOs. Use the giant LEGOs to build a bridge; cross it, and tear away the grey platforms from their pedestals using Wingardium Leviosa and snap them into place on the pedestals in front of you. Leap on them towards the cliff leading to the right. Follow the long path to a dead-end with two buttons; step on them both at the same time using both characters to open a gate. Head through the gate and turn the valve handle there to raise a series of mushrooms and platforms that let you hop your way to the final section. Use the mushrooms to bounce your way to either button flanking the structure housing the gold brick and have both characters step on them at once to open the way inside.
  9. Gold Brick #27: Have Ron and Harry step on the two buttons at the start to open the first gate. Levitate the parts by the cauldron to make two more buttons that will open two more gates. Head through the gate on the right first and go east first to get earmuffs from a Wardrobe, then south towards the "E" shapes on the ground and in relief. Stack the giant LEGO bricks on the purple LEGO plate in this order, from bottom to top: Red/Orange, Yellow/Green, Blue. This opens up a room with a Mandrake; grab him and use him to smash through the glass gate to grab an ingredient. Now go through the gate to the left of the cauldron and warp using the fireplace by the pool. Turn the valve near where the warp drops you off to drain the pool and get another ingredient. Finally, send Scabbers into the tube by the pool and have him follow the path to a valve handle; hit it to open a door. Go through the door and turn the crank there to lower a platform to the last ingredient. Dump all the ingredients into the cauldron to make an Aging Potion; drink it, then cross the Age Line and grab the brick beyond it.
  10. Gold Brick #28: You need a whopping nine ingredients on this level to make all three potion classes. You also need a character from Ravenclaw, Slytherin, and Hufflepuff each to beat this one. To begin, go right at the start and use the giant LEGO bricks to make a bridge, then move a grey platform into place so you can jump to the island with the black spider guarding an ingredient. Next, go left from the cauldron and use the moving platforms to reach the area with the Wardrobe. Get some earmuffs, then use Scabbers to hit the valve handle in the tube nearby. This opens a room holding a Mandrake; use it smash your way through the glass to the next ingredient. The last one is right next to the cauldron; dump them all in, then get Superstrength and yank the pull chain. Have Harry jump on one of the broomsticks ahead and fly through all the hoops, opening the next door. In the next area, use the giant LEGOs to build a staircase to the Polyjuice Potion pot, then grab the first ingredient in plain sight, then find the second by wrecking all the plants until you reveal it, then the third by having a partner levitate one of the benches while you are standing on it up to the cliff holding it. Make the Polyjuice Potion, and use it to change into a Digger to take care of the Dig Point. Enter the final section; while avoiding Filch, you need to have a Ravenclaw character, a Hufflepuff character, and a Slytherin character all open their respective doors to get an ingredient inside each. Use them on the last cauldron to make an Aging Potion, then walk through the Age Line to get the brick.

Unlockable Characters

  1. Bloody Baron: After moving the lumber out of the wagon to get Igor Karkaroff in Knockturn Alley (see section), shoot the wagon cart while standing on it to get launched up to this.
  2. Harry (Tuxedo): Inside Madam Malkin's Robes; zap the changing booth next to the one that leads into the fitting room to reveal a naked wizard, who will give up the unlockable.
  3. Hermione (Ballroom): Inside Madam Malkin's Robes; levitate the clothes on the ground into the clothes racks.
  4. Igor Karkaroff: Go down Knockturn Alley and look for a wagon holding lumber. Levitate the lumber onto the steps next to you and use them to reach the unlockable on the catwalk.
  5. Shifty Wizard: In Knockturn Alley, you'll find a chest on a table holding tentacles. Shoot the chest to destroy it, and get on the table as it bucks about. Eventually it will stop and kick you upwards into the unlockable.
  6. Lord Voldemort: First, you must have gotten all two hundred Gold Bricks in the game (76 from Hogwarts, 96 from the story levels, and 28 from The Leaky Cauldron hub). Once that's done, go into Knockturn Alley and head into Borgin and Burke. You should be able to assemble the LEGOs inside into a door leading into a bonus level that unlocks Lord Voldemort instantly, after which simply beat the level (to beat the level, just destroy enough objects till you get one million Studs).

Other Unlockables

  1. Extra Spells: You can visit Mr. Olliander's Wand Emporium to buy extra spells. They are not needed to beat the game, but are fun to use. More tend to appear as you progress in the game; Slugulus Eructo will not appear until you beat the sidequest involving Ron vomiting slugs in Hagrid's Garden.
  2. Build Levels in Gringotts: Perform Build Level Tutorial 1 (select the option while starting a Bonus Level); just follow the instructions, it's simple.
  3. New character in Build Mode #1: Finish Builder Tutorial 2; in the tutorial, raise and lower the land around the cats and fish so that the cats are above water and the fish below water.
  4. New character in Build Mode #2: Finish Builder Tutorial 3; as instructed, place a vehicle in each of the four pits, then play your level and park the vehicles on the button pads.
  5. New character in Build Mode #3: Finish Builder Tutorial 4; as instructed, select the Road baseplates from your Builder menu and use them to fill the gaps in the road; note that your Builder character sets the direction of the curves based on which direction he's facing. Once you finish the road, hop into the Weasley's car and drive along the road to the button at the end.
