Potential Concern
Though Legacy Locker assures subscribers that the site is secure, some potential clients may have lingering concerns. Eddie Lopez, a tech-savvy Minnesota man told CNN that, "I do think this is something people should be really considering these days. My concerns are turning over such an exhaustive list of user names and passwords to a single business. Death Verification
A user must select at least two people who will be able to confirm the user's death. The verifiers should be people who will have access and has access to the appropriate documentation such as the user's social security number and access to a death certificate. If a user's name has been submitted to Legacy Locker as recently deceased, the Legacy Locker will contact the preselected verifiers for confirmation.Legacy Locker: Verifiers -
Legacy Letters
Legacy Locker users have the option to write and store a farewell message which will be delivered via email after the death of the user.
