Lee Ann Womack

Grammy award winner Lee Ann Womack is a country music singer who released her debut album Lee Ann Womack in 1997 and hit the top ten country charts with singles "The Fool" and "You've Got to Talk to Me".

Lee Ann Womack has performed with artists such as Sons of the Desert, Cross Canadian Ragweed and she sang "Mendocino County Line" with Willie Nelson. Today Lee Ann has a total of eight albums and 21 charted singles.

On April 5, 2009, Womack performed her single "Solitary Thinking" on the 2009 Academy of Country Music Awards.

  • Worked as an intern at MCA Nashville while attending classes.
  • Her only Billboard No. 1 hit is "I Hope You Dance," a five-week No. 1 country hit (and also multi-week No. 1 on the adult contemporary charts), which served as her introduction to pop-oriented artists.
  • Her 2002 duet with legendary country singer/songwriter Willie Nelson, "Mendonceno County Line," was that year's Country Music Association's Vocal Event of the Year. The duet also served as Nelson's first major country hit in more than a decade.
