  • LCD Soundsystem is a Grammy award winning group who combines an eclectic mix of dance, electronica and punk music. They have released two albums- the most recent, Sound of Silver, was released in 2007 and has received positive reviews from critics and fans.

  • Background

    LCD Soundsystem was formed by DJ/producer and DFA Records co-founder, James Murphy. The band's first single, "Losing My Edge," was released in 2002. "Losing My Edge" was followed by 2003's "Give It Up" and 2004's "Yeah." In 2005, LCD Soundsystem released their self-titled debut. The two-disc set consisted of one disc of the previously released singles and another disc with the album.

    LCD Soundsystem was nominated for Best Electronic/Dance Album in the 2006 Grammy Awards. Sound of Silver was released in March of 2007 to critical acclaim.
