Creative Commons
A non-profit company, Creative Commons allows copyright owners to customize their restrictive licensing. Traditional copyrights are more restrictive and typically reserve all rights, whereas a Creative Commons license can be chosen to allow greater public access to an owner's material. Lessig founded Creative Commons with the intention of countering what he considered to be a growing restrictive permission culture in the creative world.Free Culture: Free Culture (2004) -
