Lawrence Alvin Lovette Jr is one of two suspects in the disappearance and murder of Eve Carson. Lovette was arrested 24 hours after Demario James Atwater in connection with the murder of the University of North Carolina student. Lovette was also charged in connection with the murder of Abhijit Mahato at Duke University on January 18, 2008. North Carolina police believe that Lovette matches an image taken from a bank's surveillance camera at a drive-through ATM. Police say he was using Carson's ATM card. New evidence suggests Atwater and Lovette both shot Carson using two separate guns.
