More Information about Lavender Essential Oil
Lavender Essential Oil is one of the best known essential oils and has many uses. While its scent is soothing and lends to relaxation, it has been successfully used to treat, sooth and cleanse burns, cuts, scrapes, bruises, insect bites, and bloody noses. Lavender Essential Oil acts as a gentle coagulant to assist in stopping bleeding and can help to reduce pain. Use of Lavender Essential Oil has also reduced or eliminated scar tissue associated with burns, in some cases.Lavender is recommended for assisting in promoting relaxation or sleep, and has been used as a homeopathic treatment of depression.
As with any essential oil, Lavender Essential Oil should be tested on a small patch of skin prior to use. Dilution of pure essential oils is generally recommended, but pure Lavender Oil has been used without irritation.
Both because of its popularity and periodic crop failures in the last two decades, Lavender Essential Oil has sometimes become more scarce and therefore more expensive.
