Lastings Milledge is a Major League Baseball player. He is currently an outfielder for the Washington Nationals.
Early Life
Lastings Darnell Milledge was born in Bradenton, Florida, on April 5, 1985. He attended Lakewood Ranch High School. In 2003, he was selected by the New York Mets with the 12th pick in the Major League Baseball amateur draft.
Pro Career
While in the minors, Milledge established himself as a premier prospect with a .318 batting average, 46 runs batted in and eight home runs in 2005. On May 30, 2006, Milledge made his MLB debut with the New York Mets. In his first season, he appeared in 56 games and batted .241, with four home runs and 22 runs batted in. In 2007, he was traded to the Washington Nationals for Ryan Church and Brian Schneider.
