    Though LeT and Pakistan Army had been working in close colleboration since emergance of LeT but Close Link between LAshkar-eTaiba and Pakistan Army came in to lime light in july 1999 when Pakistan Army's solders captured a mountain of strategic importance in Kargil (Kashmir)and Lashkar-e-taiba claimed responsibility of sending its militants usually called Mujahideen in Pakistan.This adventure escalated tensions between India and Pakistan, both equiped with Nuclear bombs .India implied huge force including Air force and Artillery to get her territory back and counter attack claimed horrible damages to the occupying pakistan Army. International Community's pressure compelled pakistan to negotiate a ceasefire and excavate its forces from the occupied mountain. During this crisis, Hafiz Saeed, Leader of Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jamaat-d-Dawa led huge processions in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan and claimed that his boys were doing great job in Kargil while Pakistan Government also supported this claim. but when Pakistan and India reached on a ceasefire agreement, Pakistan's people had to face the reality that hundreds of men killed during Kargil Adventure were regular members of Pakistan Army Some of the victims were also garnished with military Madel's to acknowledge their extraordinary contribution during the battle.

    Government of Pakistan after 9-11 terrorist attacks, under international pressure, formally banned LeT but almost all of its activities including recruitment and trainining of Jihadis, fund raising and mass mobilizing are persistantly continued up to date.     Mumbai was previously attacked on July 11, 2006, in a series of train bombings that claimed the lives of nearly 200 people.
