• Lasagna is a layered sheet pasta dish baked in an oven. Several variations exist, with alternating layers of pasta, cheese and sauce. Though the traditional recipe contains a bolognese, or meat sauce, vegetarian varieties are common.

  • Making Lasagna

    1. Boil the lasagna noodles and set aside to dry
    2. Cook the meat and drain liquids
    3. Add the tomatoes and other vegetables, stirring until all are heated.
    4. Combine the cheese and beat with the egg.
    5. Once the noodles have tried, layer the ingredients in a baking dish. It's essentially up to the chef how to order the ingredients, but evenly ordering the cheese, vegetables and meat is traditional.
    6. Bake for 45-60 minutes in a 375 degree oven. Watch the top layer for bubbling.
    7. Set aside for 15 minutes and serve.
