Luxury Dining
If you are looking for a fine dining experience in Las Vegas visit Alex. This restaurant is located in the Wynn Hotel, and the five-star menu offers dishes such as Pancetta wrapped Veal with swiss chard and sweetbread-artichoke fricassee or the roasted wild Turbot with lyonnaise Potatoes, Wild mushrooms and endives. You can also try Chef Stratta's four-course menu ($145), just make sure you save room for a chocolate-banana malt with caramel-and-macadamia brittle ice cream. -
-
Moderate Dining
While visiting Las Vegas try Cravings in the Mirage Hotel. Here they offer buffet style dining for a very moderate price. With eleven stations cooking up foods such as Japanese, Chinese, Mexican and French, there is something for everyone. Save room for the dessert station with top of the line desserts. -
Affordable Dining
The Hash House A Go Go in Vegas is a great affordable restaurant to take your family to. Breakfast here is the highlight, they offer five types of scrambles that are served in skillets, and five styles of egg benedicts. For dinner try specialty dishes such as the sage fried chicken, stuffed meatloaf, Big O' chicken pot pie or the All Blue crab cakes. All these dishes are served as massive helpings, so you are guaranteed not to leave hungry. -

Las Vegas High-End Restaurants
- Alex (North Strip) Continental, Phone: 888-352-DINE Google Map
- Concierge.com Recommendation: "Chef Alex Stratta is a protege of Alain Ducasse, and his food reflects that chef's Southern French influences - a bit of Monte Carlo in Vegas."
- Frommer's Exceptional Rating: "Diners have their choice of two set tasting menus or a three-course prix-fixe choice of appetizer, main course, and dessert."
- Fodor's Choice: "Super chef Alessandro Stratta serves his high-end French Riviera cuisine to the well-heeled at this drop-dead-gorgeous dining room..."
- Zagat Well-Rated: "'No detail is left undone' at 'genius' chef Alex Stratta's 'foodie fantasy come true' in the Wynn..."
- Rosemary's Restaurant (West Las Vegas) American, Phone: 702-869-2251 Google Map
- Frommer's Exceptional Rating: "The cuisine covers most regions of the U.S., though Southern influences dominate. Fifty local farmers help supply products."
- Fodor's Choice: "Husband-and-wife chefs Michael and Wendy Jordan established their reputation in Las Vegas with a West Side location that caters to locals..."
- Zagat Well-Rated: "'A winner' that 'hasn't lost its special touch', this West Sider proves 'a tough act to follow'..."
- Fleur de Lys (South Strip) French, Phone: 702-632-9400 Google Map
- Concierge.com Recommendation: "[W]hile the menu contains tame French and Continental dishes such as a slow-roasted king salmon with caviar, there are nods to Vegas excess, too."
- Frommer's Exceptional Rating: "One of the most sophisticated restaurants in Las Vegas, this is an offshoot of a highly regarded San Francisco establishment run by chef Hubert Keller."
- Zagat Well-Rated: "[N]ew French dishes presented in such 'exquisite arrangements' they 'look too good to eat'..."
- Picasso (Mid-Strip) French, Phone: 877-234-6358 Google Map
- Frommer's Exceptional Rating: "This may well be the best restaurant in Vegas, and given the sudden serious competition for such a title, that says a lot."
- Fodor's Review: "This restaurant, adorned with the artist's original works, raised the city's dining scene a notch when it opened."
- Zagat Well-Rated: "'Perfection on a grand scale' comes via chef Julian Serrano's 'lavish' New French palace in the Bellagio..."
- Andre's (Downtown) French/Belgian, Phone: 702-385-5016 Google Map
- Frommer's Very Highly Recommended: "The food presentation is exquisite, and choices change seasonally."

Las Vegas Moderate Restaurants
- Sensi (Mid-Strip) Eclectic, Phone: 877-234-6358 Google Map
- Concierge.com Recommendation: "The clientele is as hard to pin down as the cuisine - let's just say it's a good place to bring your boss or your family."
- Frommer's Very Highly Recommended: "You are probably best off here at lunchtime, sampling pizza al prosciutto or wok-fried shrimp, for more moderate prices than found at dinner."
- Fodor's Choice: "[C]asual but upscale spot that's secluded from Bellagio's noisy gaming areas, succeeds on all counts."
- Zagat Well-Rated: "Forget gambling, 'this is a reason to return to Las Vegas' swear surveyors smitten with this Bellagio boite..."
- Burger Bar (South Strip) Diner/Cafe, Phone: 702-632-9364 Google Map
- Concierge.com Recommendation: "Mandalay Bay's house-of-all-things-burger is a build-your-own enterprise by chef Hubert Keller of Fleur de Lys."
- Frommer's Highly Recommended: "They know you might be watching your budget or just wanting something simple but not boring, so they give you a place that specializes in hamburgers "your way," as the ads go."
- Fodor's Choice: "You build your own burger at this fun joint with marble tables and wood-panel walls."
- Cravings (Mid-Strip) Buffet, Phone: 702-791-7111 Google Map
- Concierge.com Recommendation: "The food itself is on par with most reasonably priced white-tablecloth restaurants, making the $22 all-you-can-eat price tag one of the best food bargains in Vegas."
- Frommer's Very Highly Recommended: "Gone are the heaping mounds of shrimp and other symbols of Vegas excess and bargain. In its place are plenty of live-action stations, but minimal offerings, just a scant few in the (admittedly inclusive) categories."
- Zagat Well-Rated: "On the heels of Adam Tihany's 'hip' 'makeover', the 'Mirage buffet has left the 20th century and entered the 21st'..."
- Memphis Championship Barbecue (East Strip) Chicken/BBQ/Grill, Phone: 702-254-0520 Google Map
- Frommer's Very Highly Recommended: "Food is cooked over mesquite applewood, and the meat falls off the bone just the way you want it to."
- Fodor's Review: "Barbecue the old-fashioned way: that's what fans are looking for, and that's what Memphis Championship Barbecue delivers."
- Zagat Well-Rated: "'Bring it on!' say surveyors salivating over 'melt-in-your-mouth ribs, hot links, pulled pork and brisket' accompanied by two 'to-die-for sides'..."
- Carluccio's Tivoli Gardens (East Strip) Italian, Phone: 702-795-3236 Google Map
- Frommer's Very Highly Recommended: "A bit of a drive, but well worth it for those seeking an authentic (read: dining in a restaurant that's been around more than 10 years) Vegas experience."
- Zagat Well-Rated: "If you 'love a cheesy night out', you can get your 'Liberace' on at this 'glitzy', 'old-school Vegas' East Side..."

Las Vegas Affordable Restaurants
- Lotus of Siam (East of the Strip) Asian, Phone: 702-735-3033 Google Map
- Frommer's Exceptional Rating: "[T]he owner drives at least twice a week back to Los Angeles to pick up the freshest herbs and other ingredients needed for his dishes' authenticity. That's dedication that should be rewarded with superlatives."
- Fodor's Choice: "[T]his simple Thai restaurant has attained near-fanatical cult status, with some critics hailing it the best in North America."
- Zagat Well-Rated: "'[F]riendly service' helps you forget all about the 'strip-mall' setting and 'nondescript' decor..."
- Jean Philippe Patisserie(Center Strip) Eclectic, Phone: 702-693-1111 Google Map
- Fodor's Choice: "You can always order a fresh fruit smoothie at this Wonka-esque sweet shop at Bellagio, but why would you commit a healthy act like that?"

- Jody Maroni's Sausage Kingdom (South Strip) Deli/Bagels, Phone: 702-740-6969 Google Map
- Frommer's Exceptional Rating: "There are several worthy fast-food stands in the New York-New York food court, but this one deserves an individual mention."
- Monte Carlo Pub & Brewery (South Strip) Light Fare/Fast Food, Phone: 702-730-7777 Google Map
- Frommer's Exceptional Rating: "Combine the general high quality with generous portions -- a nachos appetizer could probably feed eight (though it was not the best nachos appetizer ever) -- and this may be a better deal than most buffets."
